If there is one post of mine where I hope you read the entire caption, it’s this one because this is one of the most special things to ever happen to me. Every person in my life knows my favorite authors are Krista and Becca and how much their work means to me. They are my heroes and I admire them greatly and I have had the privilege to meet them in person 3 times now and I’ll be seeing them again this November. I have had many wonderful conversations with them online. I have read 29 of their books and every time, one of my favorite parts of the reading experience, is reading their acknowledgements. I really think Krista and Becca’s kindness shines through the acknowledgements and in addition to the many people they thank, they always make sure to let the reader know how appreciated they are. Dangerously Ours came in the middle of finals during grad school. I didn’t have time in the moment to read DO, but I wanted to see it in person and as always, I wanted to read the acknowledgments to celebrate Krista and Becca. I was sitting at a table in my local Barnes and Noble cafe when I saw my name and I immediately started crying and I couldn’t believe this was real. Krista and Becca have thanked specific readers in all 29 books I have read by them. I never ever would have imagined or expected to see my name among that list. Krista and Becca - you mean the world to me, you inspire me, and one of the biggest honors I’ve had as a reader and a person, is to be called your friend. I’m so incredibly grateful to have played even the smallest of roles in your Webs We Weave literary journey. I own more than 30 of your books, many of which are signed by you both. However, Dangerously Ours is my most prized literary possession. Your characters make readers feel seen and give them hope and you are so kind, generous, caring, and thoughtful to your readers. This is the biggest honor of my life and I’m grateful for your books, but even more grateful for both of your friendship. As Lily would say - thankyouthankyouthankyou. In the words of the Cobalts, I will cheer you both on toujours and I can’t wait to make more memories ensemble. 🩷💚💜

Dream On - Release Event - Part 1 🩷💚

Last night was one of my favorite moments of 2025 because I got to meet @author.jenniferhartmann to celebrate the release of her newest book, Dream On.

As always, I am shocked when my favorite author knows who I am and the fact that Jennifer remembered talking to me on instagram, has seen my book quotes, and remembered I was a Criminology & Justice Studies major in undergrad has me completely floored. Jennifer, you have a forever fan and supporter in me.

I got a chance to ask Jennifer a question and I asked about how dark romances have increased in popularity and they typically center around the mafia / high school bullies / the MMC is a villain versus in her books her main characters are victims of a psychopath / serial killer / a kidnapper which is really unique. She explained how shows like Criminal Minds interested her and she wondered how that would look in a book format. For her writing, the dark romance aspect is less about what the villain does but more about the aftermath and the healing journey her main characters go on.

I got a chance to tell her how much I appreciate her approach to the dark romance genre. For one, we don’t have the main characters committing questionable acts - there is a clear cut villain and that’s often where the lines get blurred in dark romance novels. Two, my lens comes from what I learned in school. I think rather than contributing to the rising trend of sensationalizing crime, we should learn what the reasons are for why people commit crimes and the aftermath of a crime that a victim endures needs more attention.

And while most of us have not escaped the clutches of a serial killer or kidnapper, many readers do experience things like depression, anxiety, emotional trauma, suicidal thoughts, and grief. And we try to heal and grow from the things or the people that have hurt us. Jennifer has written some of my all time favorite book quotes and her characters contain so much emotional depth (both MMC’s and FMC’s which is very important). Her characters’ emotional trauma makes us feel seen and their healing process gives us hope. by @readwithyonka

Happy belated release day to Trust Me Always!! 🩷🩵💜

I got to meet one of my favorite authors, @meaganbrandyauthor!! Her Boys of Avix series is one of my favorite college sports romance series I’ve read! I got to return to one of my favorite small towns, Pheonixville, PA, for the 3rd summer in a row for a book related event. This time it was to celebrate the release of book 3 in the Boys of Avix series, Trust Me Always!!

@readsandcompany and @bistroonbridge threw an an amazing event!! The Q+A may have been the most fun I’ve had at a signing and I absolutely loved Meagan!!

Meagan writes unique plots and her FMC’s all share a similar quality so it was really interesting to hear from her why that is. I’m so excited for November 4th which is the release date of book 4 in the Boys of Avix series. I’m really excited for this book and to see Chase’s redemption arc. I’m manifesting another book tour for this release!!

I’m currently reading Trust Me Always and it’s a great read so far! We get Cameron, Brady, and Allister’s POVs and I’m hoping Brady turns out to be the MMC in the end. I’ve missed this found family and I’m eating up all the Paige and Chase crumbs in this book. by @readwithyonka

Destructively Mine Signing - Part 1 💚💜

The best feeling in the world is when you get to meet your heroes. And you don’t think there’s a feeling that can possibly top that but then your heroes know who you are and they are happy to see you - and that is a feeling I’ll never get used to and I feel utterly amazed and speechless every time I think about it. My heroes are Krista and Becca Ritchie.

They are my favorite authors of all time and are the creators of my all the time favorite universe Addicted / Like Us / Cobalt Empire. This universe contains 25 books so far and it’s ongoing.

The magic of @kbmritchie is their execution of the found family trope, the character development, their focus on individuality even though there’s a large ensemble cast, and the many relationships - and that the platonic ones are just as important as the romantic ones. I found this series 3 years ago and it quite literally saved my life.

As I continue to read their books now including the amazing Webs We Weave series and their Patreon content, I remain grateful for how their writing continues to help daily. Life hasn’t been easy for the past few years and I often feel alone and not understood. Krista and Becca have a quality to their writing that allows me to feel seen and heard, to make my experiences and my feelings valid, and to allow me to continue to have hope.

This event marked my 3rd time meeting Becca and my 2nd time meeting Krista. They are the kindest and most talented people I know. I will never stop talking about how much they do for their readers. They sign their books in different colored markers that correspond to the color on the book cover. They sign each book with a different tagline that corresponds to a theme in that book. They always have goodies at the signing. Their Patreon contains ongoing stories, podcasts, and bonus scenes (so so many) for readers to explore so we never have to say goodbye to our favorite characters.

This was an amazing event and I got a chance to ask a question about their upcoming releases!! Burn Bright, the first novel in the new Cobalt Empire series comes out on September 2nd. by @readwithyonka

Lauren Asher - Part 1!!

I had the absolute best time this weekend at @bndanburyct because I got to meet one of my favorite authors, @laurenasherauthor!!

Lauren is an amazing author who has written the Dirty Air and Dreamland Billionaires series. The book signing this past weekend was to celebrate the release of Lauren’s newest book, Love Redesigned which marks the start of her new series - Lakefront Billionaires.

I can’t express how grateful I am to have discovered Lauren’s books and to have had the chance to tell her that in person!! I got into Formula 1 (shout out to @elizabethzhang who showed me Drive to Survive) around the same time I got back into reading. I couldn’t believe I was able to combine two of my favorite things - the romance book genre and the amazing sport that is F1 (team Mercedes, Toto, Lewis, and George always!!).

I loved the first two books of the Dirty Air series - Throttled and Collided. I especially connected with Sophie and Liam in Collided. I was able to relate to Sophie’s struggles of finding out who she is, something I am going through myself in my 20s. Also, the emotional growth that both her and Liam experience individually as well as by supporting each other was inspirational to me. Lauren’s books provided me entertainment and light in the dark emotional and physical times that I have been through in the last few years. It was more than that though. I started posting Lauren’s quotes from Collided because it gave me hope and words to go back to as I continue to find out who I am and the journey I continue to pursue in all aspects of my life, especially the mental / emotional growth. by @readwithyonka

Happy Cobalt Wednesday!! My current read, I’m 70% done!! I truly think @authorkbritchie are magical because I got really harsh, difficult, and unfair news yesterday and this book and Audrey and Birdie’s story found me when I needed it the most. Endlessly grateful to Krista and Becca because your writing brings me comfort in the times of my life when I really need it. Sending so much love to you both this week. As for me, I’m trying my best to possess the strength of each of the Cobalt siblings as well as Rose and Connor right now but I’m finding it difficult. Also I’m very excited to be reading Loathed Love because it’s Krista’s most favorite book that her and Becca have ever written. 🩷🕊️
