As we celebrate the 230th anniversary of our beautiful city, we also want to honor Tim Donovan, the 2026 Herrick Memorial Award recipient. Though Tim has passed away, his longtime friend and associate, Tom Yablonski, accepted the award on his behalf and shared some heartfelt and inspiring words about Tim for our mini documentary with @inquisitormedia commemorating Cleveland's 230th anniversary.

It was great meeting Ben Heide and Wesley Allen on West 25th Street at the rooftop of Market Garden Brewery. Married since April 2021, the couple both work for Cuyahoga County. Wesley is also a well-known actor who has appeared in productions throughout Northeast Ohio. Originally from Shaker Heights, they now call Cleveland’s west side home.

Ben and Wesley were celebrating the opening of the exhibit at Main Library honoring Susan Hepburn, the designer of Cleveland’s flag and the first woman to create an official U.S. city flag. Ben played an important role in bringing the exhibit to life alongside Kristen Fragassi and Juan Collado Diaz.

Thank you to Ben and Wesley for taking the time to chat and pose for a photo. I hope to run into them again around Cleveland, or catch Wesley on stage in one of his next performances. by @real.cleflag
