Is it just me or are we in need of some extra LOVE these days?

In these times where old wounds show their ugly face more and more to us as individuals and as a collective. We can’t ignore them any longer, we have to point our fingers at the demons and say their names out loud. And we have to remember what should be instead, what’s so far away sometimes that it even hurts to say it’s name. And hold on to it.. Let us try to stay sane and flip the coin every once in a while cause LOVE and PAIN are just two sides of one and the same.

Hope y’all enjoy this arrangement of mine of the timeless „Beautiful Love“ (composed by Wayne King, Victor Young and Egbert Van Alstyne in 1931, lyrics by Haven Gillespie). And while we enjoy this piece standing in the black music tradition let‘s leave no doubt: #blacklivesmatter not just the culture.. LOVE
