It began in Science with formulas, reactions, and a first degree in Industrial Chemistry that trained my mind for structure, discipline, and precision. But purpose has a way of calling you beyond what you first studied, into what you were always meant to do. For over 10 years, I have practiced Public Relations and Media, learning in real time—building brands, shaping narratives, and managing perception as an Industrial Chemistry student long before I ever stepped into a Mass Communication classroom. Still, I chose to return to school, not for validation but for depth. To formally align experience with theory. Today, I proudly hold a certificate in Mass Communication from the prestigious University of Lagos, and I have also commenced my Master’s degree in Public Relations and Advertising—because growth doesn’t pause, and learning never truly ends. Along this path, I strengthened my expertise with international certifications in Digital Marketing, Advertising, Branding, Reputation Management and Public Relations, and I am duly licensed by NIPR, ARCON and OAAN to practice Out-of-Home Advertising. From science to storytelling, from practice to policy, from instinct to instruction—this is proof that reinvention is powerful, purpose is intentional, and excellence is built layer by layer. I am deeply grateful to everyone who has continued to patronize Bodex Media through every phase of this journey—from my roots in Industrial Chemistry to formally earning my certification in Mass Communication. Your trust in the work, not just the credentials, sustained the vision. To my incredible team, thank you for holding it down with excellence and loyalty while I balanced classrooms with boardrooms. #sheisgoldfish4life🐠🐠💯💯 When I returned to Nigeria in 2019 to kickstart the Bodex Social Media Hangout, I knew I was setting the foundation for a lasting digital coexistence between users and stakeholders. I’ve always had a mind that even I can’t fully explain — one that dares, dreams, and drives. By the second edition, I already envisioned having Mr. Governor’s endorsement. I remember telling myself I would walk right into his office, share my ideas, and get that stamp of approval. Of course, the devil tried to whisper otherwise — “It’s too soon… we won’t open that door for you….who is your father, sef?” But I reminded that voice who I am — a Badagry child, born of the spirit that says nothing is impossible and giving up is never an option. Today, as we prepare for the 6th Edition of the Bodex Social Media Hangout, I am thrilled to announce that the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu has officially endorsed this initiative. And to crown it all, he has graciously agreed to serve as the Grand Patron and Keynote Speaker at the grand finale. It took countless sleepless nights, endless prayers, and unwavering persistence to bring this to life. I told anyone who would listen that I was next in line — and with faith, courage, and divine favor… I WON. Having people who believe and support your dream is a rare act, and on that note, I say thanks to every amazing soul who is and has been on this journey with me. A letter addressed to the convener of Bodex Social Media Hangout, Bodex F. Hungbo, by the Summits organisers reads: We are delighted to inform you that you have been selected to participate in the African Civic Engagement Summit for the 2022-2023 African Civic Engagement Academy. The reviewers were impressed with the quality of your Civic Engagement Action Plan and with your participation in the Academy. The organisers further noted that Hungbo would join others to tap from the wisdom of distinguished speakers, network with other ACEA participants, and have an opportunity to share her Civic Engagement Action Plan for feedback. In her reaction, Hungbo said shes excited to be chosen as one of the few candidates selected for the global summit. Describing it as a rare privilege, she explained that the aim of Bodex Social Media Hangout is to contribute to the global objectives of deploying social media for social good, promote culture and tradition in the society, as well as encourage the efforts of ethical adopters to recognize the impact of social media while celebrating, inspiring and motivating Netizens to ethically use social media in creating value.
