Straight A’s don’t usually come from studying harder at the last minute.

They come from better systems.

Start studying before the night before, ask for feedback before major writing exams, and prioritize the assignments that have the biggest impact on your grade.

A simple plan can make high school feel a lot less overwhelming:

• Study early
• Get feedback
• Prioritize tests first
• Don’t leave everything until the last minute

Small habits repeated consistently can make a big difference by the end of the semester.

Save this for the school year.

Forbes’ America’s Top Colleges 2027 list highlights some of the most recognized names in higher education.

MIT takes the #1 spot, followed by Princeton, Harvard, Columbia, UPenn, Stanford, Caltech, Yale, UC Berkeley, and Vanderbilt.

But rankings are only one piece of the college search.

Students should also consider major fit, cost, financial aid, campus culture, location, outcomes, and where they will actually thrive.

A top-ranked college is impressive — but the best college is the one that fits the student.

For 9th and 10th graders, it’s a low-pressure way to understand the test format, build confidence, and spot weak areas early.

For 11th graders, it matters more because it can qualify students for National Merit recognition — which can become a strong award to include on college applications.

So no, the PSAT is not “the SAT.”

But it can still help students prepare smarter, reduce test anxiety, and build momentum before junior-year testing gets serious.

Save this if your student is taking the PSAT soon.

The Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship is a major opportunity for high-achieving students who have faced financial hardship.

This award can provide up to $55,000 per year to help cover tuition, housing, books, fees, and other college costs at a U.S. college or university.

Students generally need a strong academic record, including a 3.75 GPA or higher, so it’s worth preparing early and reviewing the full eligibility requirements before applying.

Deadline: November 11, 2026

Save this and share it with a student who should know about it.

Comment “Kent” for the link.

UC Berkeley continues to prove why it’s one of the most respected public universities in the world.

Berkeley has once again been named the top public university in North America in the 2027 Times Higher Education World University Rankings.

Even more impressive: Times Higher Education has ranked Berkeley as the top public university in the U.S. for 11 of the past 12 years.

This recognition adds to Berkeley’s growing list of #1 rankings this year, including honors from PitchBook, Forbes, and U.S. News & World Report. by @realbrownfig

Many of the world’s wealthiest founders and executives studied fields connected to business, technology, finance, engineering, and problem-solving before building billion-dollar companies.

These degrees can help students develop valuable skills like leadership, decision-making, analytical thinking, innovation, and communication.

But here’s the important part:

A degree alone does not create success.

Many billionaires built their wealth in industries completely different from what they studied in college.

What often matters just as much is timing, risk-taking, networking, persistence, creativity, and the ability to spot opportunities others miss.

So while your major can open doors, what you do with your skills matters even more.

Save this if you’re researching college majors and career paths.

Everyone talks about “top colleges.”

But almost no one talks about where students actually enjoy their life.

Because here’s the truth:

The best college for you isn’t just about rankings.

It’s about fit, culture, campus energy, student experience, and whether you can actually see yourself growing there.

Before building your college list, ask yourself:

Do I want prestige… or a place where I’ll actually thrive?

This 2026 data highlights colleges where students don’t just study — they build a life.

Save this before finalizing your college list.
