thank you coach brunk for believing in a kid he met 9 years ago, and giving an unc a chance to be a kid again. i am so thankful for all of my teammates, coaches, family and friends, your undying support means the world to me! feels good to end on a high note, and although i didn’t reach the heights i strived for, this season showed me i have it in me. who knows what the future holds, one things for sure, i’ll be back. and i’ll be better. it’s always a great day to be a golden eagle💛🦅#LLK #freeAB #SACDAWG

Barrier broken last week, and another confidence builder this week. First time over 201 in college and it was on a first try, small steps but for me, this is huge. 6’8+ is there and i know it for a fact now, and i can’t wait to go get a big bar. I am so blessed to be a part of this amazing team. Two Meters. The bar that I was first pursuing when I met you. A bar that I cleared six months after meeting you, a bar that then eluded me for three years. I may have cleared 2.05 but I never jumped 2m+ in a Mount Sac uniform, or at the stadium in a meet for that matter. But on Friday, after long and high jumping Thursday, I finally broke the seal. if you told me 5 years ago that id be back at a university let alone competing, id have called you a liar.
thank you to coach brunk coach bloomfield and everyone on the squad for taking in an (old) kid that had a non conventional path back to university like one of yall own. thank you for coming alongside me during the rough patches as well as pushing me to be the best version of myself. i wish i could’ve given you back my full capabilities on the track but i left it all out there so i hang my hat on that, and the fact that i know what needs to be done to avoid that in the future. can’t wait to watch those still competing kill it at regionals and bring home some hardware, go crazy yall. the best is yet to come, its a great day to be a golden eagle🦅💛 taken in Concordia University Irvine by @realcashtin
