POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Over 6 months no gym training because of my shoulder pain. As a result of that, I am out of shape, look and feel like shit, confidence is low and oh yeah…I was phased out of an industry after 22 years.

Why…because I ain’t Black Enough, Handsome Enough, Popular Enough or, and this is new news, not a good enough Actor to be on screen or stage. And before you all say I am lying or this is self imposed, I have receipts of Agents, Managers, Casting Directors and other Actors telling me all of this.

This is not a post looking for sympathy….just wanted you all who are going through and being told the same things no matter what industry to know that finding a Tribe who understands you is important. That’s why I am thankful for Coach @hardwork_king_von over at @blucornerboxing for reminding me that I am not as terrible as I look and feel or have been told.

Shoutout to my FIT FAM brethren for doing the same. Appreciate you all.

Make sure you get your whole FAMILY over to BCB and tell em I sent you 🥊 taken in Blu Corner Boxing by @realchrisgreene

DEAR CHRIS…

Listen to me when I say this…You ARE enough!

No matter what they say to your face or behind your back, no matter how good or bad they make you feel, no matter if they show up or let you down, no matter if they fan your flame or douse your fire, no matter if they love you or hate you, no matter if they help you or hurt you, no matter if they celebrate you or blame you…

I think you are good enough as you currently are! Not who you were…and not who you may become…who you are right now!

Love you Man!

My presence has power. So many don’t appreciate it, understand it or even want it and that’s ok…just means they couldn’t handle it.

Go where your words are heard, your thoughts are encouraged and your presence is appreciated!
