POSTS STORIES REELS

As the cool kids say nowadays, I made it out of the group chat! I, Daniel Troy Pinto, am the first person in my family to officially have something copyrighted and preserved in the Library of Congress! I would like to take this moment to say thank you to everyone who has believed and supported me during my journey to writing this play. “The Optimist’s Cafe - A Play for the Greater Good of Humanity”.

What does this officially mean? It means I have full legal rights to my play. It means when I sit down with a producer, which will be the next step, I’m going to tell them I want to direct it and who I want in the play (I almost have a full Tony Worthy cast, they know who they are) and then it’ll be time to start using theatre to make the world a better place. It also means I have the final say in any Broadway revivals or college or high school productions.

If you have a dream, go follow it. NEVER let anyone tell you otherwise! Thank you all again for always believing in me! Be the change!

This morning I surprised my great friend @angie_b106 and saw her and @ryanwvannostrand #haleysaunders @noah_ryan__ @louisabikowski and @kiernanurso in @theatrethreeproductions ‘s last showing of “Elephant & Piggie’s “We Are In A Play!”. Every single show they show at this theatre is a Broadway show. Literally! Every cast member puts their hearts and souls into making the world a better place! It’s a sincere privilege coming here and seeing my great friend who is one of the most hard working, talented, and awesome human beings ever! You still have two more chances I believe to go see “Cabaret” here! Go see it! It’ll change your life!

Thank you!

Had the absolute privilege of seeing @paula_vogel ‘s “The Baltimore Waltz” at Suffolk County Community College this evening! Directed by the legendary Steven Lantz-Gefroh, Choreographed by my good friend @michaela.fitzsimmons_ and starring my good friend @izzyhalpinn along with @thedon_e_hunt @l.rnzx777 @mirabella_noelle and @max.venezia , this show is the reason we go to the theatre. Hands down one of the most moving shows I’ve ever seen in my entire life. Paula Vogel has made her brother proud by writing this masterpiece and, if they could see how hard this production goes to tell her story, they’d be proud of them just like me and everyone who sees this show is. This cast, as well as Vogel herself, know what it means to be human and that’s important because it’s what helps make the world a better place.

Looking for something exciting to do this weekend or next weekend? Go see these soon-to-be Tony Award Winning actors in a Tomy Award Worthy production. It will be the greatest 80 mins of your life! Truly thankful for the hard work and dedication of the @sunysccctheatre to making the world a better place!

Thank you!

PS: if you look at the picture from the original production you’ll see a gentleman named Joe Mantello. This guy is a legend. Why? He directed Mr. Arthur Miller’s “Death of a Salesman”, the greatest American play ever written (until mine of course lol) this past Spring and won the Tony for Best Play Revival. I have no doubt Paula Vogel inspired him to direct this show! by @realddtp

Today I had the absolute privilege of seeing my great friend @angie_b106 front row in “Cabaret” at Theatre Three in Port Jeff, the GREATEST theatre not just on Long Island, not just in NYS, but in the ENTIRE WORLD! This show is more than just a show, it’s an epic musical! In the fifty + years of this theatre’s history, this is hands down THE BEST show! It’s the best because of the people who make the show possible. This cast is a Broadway level cast: Angie, @willrstokes _haleysaunderss_ enplitt @mariacutaiaaa @michellelabo @melinanicolee @kiernanurso @eddieismyname @curlyru_ #zacthompson, @sariann1228 @jasonfurnari_ #stevenuIhlein @phyllismarch @rachelgeiser @quattrockd and @forbryan_outloud have come together to create a show that will make the world a better place. And they have done just that. That’s the thing I love about theatre: it teaches us, it moves us, it inspires us. You need not go all the way to NYC to see a Broadway level show. Looking for something fun to do this fall? Go see these future Broadway stars in “Cabaret” at Theatre Three. Your life will be changed. I know mine has. Thank you for an excellent afternoon!

PS: not sure who is charge of Theatre Three, but have them see Slide 9. Hope it helps. TY! by @realddtp

It is with deep profound sadness that @haydenpanettiere has passed away. I grew up watching her in PIXAR’s “A Bug’s Life” as Dot and in Disney’s “Ice Princess” with Michelle Tratchenberg. I hope they and Hayden’s brother Jansen are reunited wherever they are. I hoped someday I’d of gotten the opportunity to work with Hayden. Saying a prayer for her and her family. This really hurts. You will be truly missed Hayden.

Happy Birthday to the greatest mom in the whole world! Thank you for all that you do for me and Dad! Hope you have an awesome day! by @realddtp

I think everyone who sees this post on their instagram feed needs to go buy a ticket to see @livevamaria and @reevecarney in “Hadestown” in movie theatres. They are the true embodiment of what it means to be human. They are two of the greatest actors in the history of Broadway. They had me crying for an entire 2hrs and 21mins. If you really listen closely to the dialogue, you’ll hear a line to the effect of “this is what the world could be…” I truly believe Eva and Reeve are working hard to make the world a better place. Being their run in Fitzgerald’s “The Great Gatsby” is over tomorrow sadly, I think F. Scott would have been proud of them. I know I am. I genuinely look forward to working with them and having them in my acting company. They literally are the coolest people I’ve ever had the sincere privilege of seeing perform. Go see them and your life will be changed. And they will sing it again forever.

Yesterday was truly one of the greatest days of my entire life! It was also the first time I ever watched two Broadway shows in one day! I was lucky enough to see @titaniquemusical and @rockyhorrorbway and got to see and meet some pretty awesome people: @melissabarreram @marlamindelle @deborahcox @frankiejgrande @therealjimparsons @thejohnriddle @constantinerousouli @laytonwilliams @iamkylefreeman @sarajgallo @thebradgreer @imizpolancojonesjr @kristinaleopold_ @tess_marshall @raedratch @joshandresrivera @stephaniehsuofficial @thereallukeevans @durandrew @glambergray @harveyguillen @officialsherierenescott @rennie11 @anania00 @boy.radio #calebquezon @andresquin21 @larkin_reilly @paulsoileau @mrjohnyi

I just want to highlight the kindness of two of them and why you need to go see these two shows ASAP: Melissa and Josh. When I met Melissa I told her that I wrote a four four act play, she took a few minutes to ask me what it was about and said she’d go watch it. Similarly, when I met Josh, he knew my name and literally said “Hi Daniel, it’s nice to meet you.” He too said him and @rachelzegler would go see my play. They are the two nicest human beings I ever met in my entire life. Both shows are electrifying, funny, and emotional!

I truly believe that theatre has the power to make the world a better place. While, you know who, Grandpa Donnie, is worrying about elections that happened years ago, the hard working actors, actresses, and directors on Broadway are the ones who are actually working to make the world a better place.

So I encourage everyone who reads this post to go see these incredibly awesome people in Titanique and The Rocky Horror Show as well as all of the other amazing shows Broadway has to offer!

Thank you for an amazing day! Keep inspiring!

Best Regards,

I’m sure you’ve heard of the new musical “Two Strangers Carry A Cake Across New York City”. Now there’s going to be a spin-off: “An Aspiring Playwright/Director carries A Tony Worthy Play Across New York City”! Hoping to find someone to produce my play! The key is to stay confident and positive. A dozen nos could lead to that one yes. Wish me luck! by @realddtp

Happy 4th of July and Happy 250th to the United States of America, the greatest country in the world! I am extreme thankful for my family, my awesome friends, and for the opportunities I have been given throughout my life! It’s pretty amazing that I could potentially have a play produced and directed this year, the year that marks 250 years of being able to write whatever your heart desires! I told myself on my birthday that this was going to be the best year of my life, and I think it’s turning out to be just that! Let’s come together to make the world a better place! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 by @realddtp

During my time as a scholar in college, I explored the question “What does it mean to be human?” I studied many works of literature to try to answer this question. Last night I witnessed what it truly means to be human. My good friends @michaela.fitzsimmons_ @angie_b106 @izzyhalpinn @salerno_joey and @_ggomezz__ took time out of their simmer to come and read my play. They and @tom_mcguire_iv and @colin.spatz who were their in spirit, are the most kindest and most talented human beings I ever met in my entire life. I will be forever grateful for their kindness and for their dedication to making the world a better place. Anyone who has had the privilege to see them in a show or work with them is extremely lucky. I know I am. Thank you for taking the time to read the work of an aspiring playwright & director. I look forward to working with you all in the future! Keep inspiring!

Thank you!

Best Regards,
