Endometriosis Awareness Month: 2022 was not just any year.

I am not just an Endo woman, I am an Endo Survivor.
March is more than just another month for me,it’s a time of reflection, resilience, and raising awareness. As an endometriosis survivor, I know firsthand the silent battles, the invisible pain, and the emotional toll this condition takes.

Endometriosis is not just “bad cramps.” It’s debilitating pain, fatigue, and, for many, years of misdiagnosis and misunderstanding. It’s the frustration of explaining a condition that even some doctors overlook. It’s the silent grief of canceled plans, missed opportunities, and the uncertainty of what’s next.

I made a brave choice to come out to share my story with everyone. Not for pity, not for fame but for awareness. It’s been 3 years and life has been different for me and my family. Considering the fact I had lost my sister some years back to cancer and mine was devastating for my family and I but God told me “You will be an evidence of my grace” and that has never stopped being my mantra after this condition.

Endometriosis drew me closer to God, it made me fight a good fight. Had my exams draw closer and I would stay on the hospital bed to read my books and still came out with a first class that semester despite everything.

But amidst the struggle, there is strength. There is a community of warriors who lift each other up, who fight for awareness, who demand better research, treatment, and understanding. And there is hope, hope that the next generation won’t have to suffer in silence.

To the ones who never stopped being family ; my family, @life_of_zizi , , @a.ngelllx_ , @chibbyy_ , @d.leslie.x , @_towchee @_jen_n_ifer_ . Most especially @_diaryofada my bestfriend in all, I love you so much everyday of my life.

To my fellow endo warriors: You are not alone. Your pain is real, your voice matters, and your resilience is inspiring. To those who don’t understand: Listen, learn, and support. Endometriosis awareness isn’t just about knowledge; it’s about action, empathy, and change.

Yet many women spend years trying to prove their pain is real before receiving answers.

When pain is dismissed early, diagnosis comes late.

Listening shouldn’t feel like a privilege in healthcare.

It should be the foundation of it.

We’ve been taught to clap for endurance.

But suffering silently is not strength.

Severe period pain is not something you’re supposed to just endure. If your cycle is disrupting your life every month, your body is trying to tell you something.

Pain that controls your life is not normal.
