26 years ago, I entered this world fighting to breathe.

I have survived trauma.
I have survived addiction.
I have survived homelessness.
I have survived myself.

For a long time, I knew about God…
but I did not know His gentleness.

At 23, I gave Him my life.
But I still tried to earn His love.
I performed.
I hid.
I battled in silence.

At 26, I understand something deeper:

Grace is not God tolerating me.
Grace is God patiently transforming me.

He was patient when I numbed my pain.
Patient when I confused effort for faith.
Patient when I relapsed in old patterns.
Patient when I lived in survival mode.

And He is still patient.

If you’re in your twenties trying to heal from what almost broke you —
trying to know God beyond religion —
trying to believe you are not too far gone…

You are not behind.
You are becoming.

If God was patient with me,
He is not finished with you.

God Freed You; Receive It ⛓️‍💥

June 19, 1865. Union troops finally reached Texas with news that slavery had ended—two and a half years late.

Two and a half years of stolen labor.

Stolen lives.

Stolen freedom.

The Emancipation Proclamation was signed in 1863, but enslaved people in Texas kept working because no one bothered to tell them they were free.

You think that was an accident?

You think today’s delays in justice are accidents too?

They perfected the playbook in Texas: Keep people in the dark. Control the information.

Delay freedom as long as possible.

I am grateful for God & the Blessings he constantly provide over my life. Last year was where I was tested & almost broken, but my resilience got me to this point in my life. Where I can have the true freedom with my time. Don’t take your life for granted, love everyday as if it is your last. Cherish those closest because everyday isn’t promised 🙏🏾
