Raising a good man starts long before he becomes one. ❤️

It’s teaching him that respect isn’t optional, accountability matters, consent matters, and a woman’s feelings aren’t something to manipulate. It’s teaching him that being a man doesn’t mean never crying, never apologizing, or always being in control.

I want my son to know that real strength is kindness, emotional maturity is a flex, and taking accountability is part of being a good human.

I’m not just raising someone’s future husband. I’m raising someone’s future friend, coworker, teammate, and maybe one day, father.

The goal isn’t to raise a man who never makes mistakes. It’s to raise a man who takes responsibility for them, learns from them, and never makes someone else pay for his inability to grow.

Does anyone else still have ornaments from their childhood? I remember my great grandparents doing this every year.
Gifts are expensive and they had kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.

THIS is still one of my favorite traditions because of them ❤️

One day, the kids will be grown and these little ornaments will be some of the things that take us right back. 🥹❤️

That’s why I love choosing ornaments that actually mean something, a trip, a milestone, a favorite phase, a funny memory… something that tells the story of that year.

And if this year was full of baseball, neighborhood adventures, scraped knees and Sandlot memories… this one feels pretty perfect.

Sometimes God closes a door you desperately wanted to walk through because He already knows where He’s taking you next.

Getting cut from one team hurt. At the time, we didn’t understand it. I questioned it. I wondered what we had missed.

But watching these boys in this moment... the championship rings, the new friendships, the coaches who believe in him, the confidence these boys are gaining, and everything they are going to experience as a baseball family

Maybe it wasn’t rejection.
Maybe it was redirection.

Sometimes all you need is faith the size of a mustard seed and the courage to keep going when you don’t understand the “why.”

And sometimes the right coaches, the right teammates, and the right opportunity come along and help a kid become more than they ever imagined.

God’s plan doesn’t always look like the plan we had.

I think a lot of women, especially moms, get really good at moving the goalpost on themselves.

You accomplish something → “I should’ve done more.”
You make it through a hard season → “Other people have it harder.”
You finally slow down → “I should be doing something.”

So when someone genuinely says, “I’m proud of you,” sometimes it hits a place you didn’t even realize needed to hear it.

If nobody has told you lately: I hope you’re proud of yourself, too. 🤍

For the mom who is doing her best, rebuilding, starting over, figuring it out, or simply making it through today, I see you 🫶🏼
