I want to send a heartfelt thank you to @pbs and @wtvipbsclt our amazing partners at the @americanredcross @redcrossnc for giving me the platform to share my journey in honor of my little sister @itsnlindsey and raise awareness for both mental health and sickle cell disease. @tr.yanii_

This mission is bigger than me—it’s about bringing hope, healing, and resources to those who need it most. Every story shared, every hand extended, and every life touched makes a difference.

Thank you for standing with us in this fight and for showing the world that together, we are truly destined for greatness. 🙏🏾

Forever grateful. ❤️

🎶💜 WHAT A NIGHT, CHARLOTTE! 💜🎶

From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU! 🙏🏾❤️ Our very first 90’s R&B Day Party was an absolute SUCCESS, and I’m beyond grateful to everyone who helped make this vision come to life!

A HUGE thank you to the incredible Sip City Market & Bottle Shop staff for welcoming us and helping create the perfect atmosphere. 🥂✨ To DJ Smooth It Out for keeping the vibes right all night, and to our amazing host Burpie for bringing the energy and keeping everybody rocking! 🎤🔥

And most importantly, THANK YOU to everyone who came out, supported, danced, laughed, sang along, and simply enjoyed themselves. Seeing so many people come together, grown, vibing, and enjoying that classic R&B feeling meant everything to us. ❤️🎶

This was only the BEGINNING! 🙌🏾 We’re beyond excited to keep building this grown folks + R&B experience and create even more unforgettable moments together.

The love was REAL. The vibes were UNMATCHED. And the journey is just getting started! 💜🎶

Until the next one… KEEP THAT R&B PLAYING! 🔥

Dear Younger Dequan,

I used a software to retrieve these old images.

If I could sit beside you today, I’d tell you to give yourself some grace. I know you had dreams, plans, and a story you thought you were supposed to finish on the basketball court. But life had another chapter waiting for you.

I want you to know I’m proud of you. You didn’t fail—you grew. You didn’t finish the story the way you imagined, but you became someone worth being proud of anyway.

So forgive yourself, kiddo. Love that younger version of you who gave everything he had. Keep succeeding. Keep striving. Keep believing. Your story didn’t end when basketball did—it simply changed direction.

And look at you now… you turned out alright. ❤️

Keep moving forward. The best chapters are still being written.

With love,
