Absolutely thrilled to announce that our cinematic vertical mini drama series, Wedding Interrupted (directed by Christopher Kublan), will be available for streaming on the app Loop Premium as a part of their opening slate for their launch on June 10th!

Here at Backyard Shorts, it’s our objective to elevate verticals with cinematic flavors and fresh stories. Happy that we get to showcase this series as a testament to our mission!

Overjoyed from the amount of support that the viewers and others in the vertical community have shown us and were ever grateful for everyone who takes a moment to watch what we’ve put together.

Cheers to changing the space! by @realrickshepherd

Please read 🙏🏻

A lot of the vertical industry is still chasing what’s already been proven.

At Backyard Shorts, we’ve always been interested in exploring stories that fall outside the formulas currently dominating the space.

Last year, one of our original vertical projects, a Knives Out-style whodunnit, received strong feedback, but there was a sense that the market wasn’t quite ready for that type of story. More recently, we’ve started seeing similar concepts make their way into the space.

It was a reminder that sometimes an idea isn’t wrong. It just hasn’t found its moment yet.

“Let Me Feel Your Heart Beat” comes from our original slate and is built around a world we rarely see explored in vertical storytelling: DJs and nightlife.

Projects like this reflect our larger goal of exploring what vertical storytelling can become while still embracing the elements audiences already enjoy.
