A few pics from a perfectly delightful press lunch @thepharmacybruton in Somerset a few weeks ago. A visit to the town of Bruton is equally as delightful and a nice escape from the city for a day or an overnight break. Getting there by train from Paddington is easy and details can be found in my earlier reel. Thanks again @merlin_johnson and the team at The Pharmacy...#bruton #somerset #farmtotable by @realrobbentley

Saison by Mauro Colagreco has its home at Raffles London at the OWO and has done since this historic landmark hotel launched. Saison has just had a subtle makeover though, and its Mediterranean vibe has steered calmly towards France. The stunning ochre central banquette still lounges light-drenched and majestic under the soaring glass ceiling, the intricate lattice walls still draw the eye ever upwards and there’s still crisp white linen on the tables. It all just feels a little sharper. The menu is a roll-call of French classics, with a few exceptions such as the Scotch egg (and I’m never going to complain about seeing a Scotch egg on a menu) and the decadent lobster bolognese. I was very happy to have my first encounter with Chicken Cordon Bleu, and my guest’s Filet Mignon was so tender he could have carved it with a whisper.A great meal in a stunning setting. Thanks to Adith and Brukti for wonderful service.PR invite@raffleslondon.theowo @theowo.london @maurocolagreco by @realrobbentley

A final few recommendations from my recent visit to Glasgow.1 - 5. @cornershopglasgow A popular Basque- and Catalan-inspired wine bar serving seriously good small plates, excellent wine and the kind of relaxed, buzzy atmosphere.6 - 7. @five_march An intimate restaurant with inventive, seasonal cooking, thoughtful natural wines and great cocktails.8. @sebbs_official A cool underground restaurant set beneath vaulted brick ceilings, with bold, flavour-packed dishes and a buzzy atmosphere. And a couple more stops on our tour around Glasgow with @petermckennaglasgow1 which included:9. @dookitbrewing A brilliant independent brewery tucked away in Glasgow, the oyster stout is a must-try!10. @deargreen A Glasgow coffee roastery championing exceptional, ethically sourced beans and beautifully brewed coffee. And finally, a visit to Glasgow’s Necropolis, a beautiful Victorian cemetery perched on a hill overlooking Glasgow, it’s as much a fascinating walk through the city’s history as it is one of the best viewpoints in town.Press trip with @soundbitepr by @realrobbentley

Soleil by Claude is back. The eighth-floor terrace at Chef Claude Bosi’s 2 Michelin-starred Brooklands restaurant at The Peninsula London transforms into a summer rooftop pop-up that brings a taste of the Med to Hyde Park Corner. We had a preview of some of the dishes and they were fantastic! From an early morning wander around a very pretty Padstow last month (the best time to see this busy little fishing port) and then back to The Seafood Restaurant - where I was staying - for a full Cornish breakfast!#padstow #cornwall #theshopkeepers by @realrobbentley

Newly opened in the beautiful Raffles London at The OWO, Langosteria brings its acclaimed Italian dining experience to Whitehall, joining an international portfolio that includes Paris, Milan, Portofino and St. Moritz.Langosteria is a fine-dining seafood destination, with Italian brio woven into every detail. It has heart, strong identity and a lively dash of humour.Although we sampled a pared-down soft-launch menu it was clearly still special-occasion food. The Mazzancolle prawns ‘alla catalana’ was a masterclass in allowing quality ingredients to shine, and loved the wow factor of the Tiramisu being un-sleeved and draping languidly over itself at the table. Thanks for Michele and Momo for great service and all the team at Langosteria at The OWO.@langosteria @raffleslondon.theowo @theowo.london #langosterialondon #londonrestaurant #seafoodrestaurant #finedininglondon #tiramisu by @realrobbentley

The historic market town of Bruton in Somerset is one of those places I’ve heard so many great things about but never visited… until recently! The reason? To experience ‘The Pharmacy’, chef Merlin Labron-Johnson’s intimate all-day restaurant, now under the direction of head chefs Zsuzsanna Toth and Marc Ackland.Sharing the same farm-to-table philosophy as its sister restaurant, Osip (also in Bruton), the kitchen works almost exclusively with produce from Osip’s own farms and a small network of local growers. The daily menu is influenced by the harvest, with vegetable-led dishes reminiscent of rustic regional French and Italian cooking.Housed in a beautifully restored 16th-century former pharmacy, the dining room feels effortlessly lived-in with candlelit tables and mismatched furniture. And despite its rural setting, Bruton is surprisingly easy to get to from London in a couple of hours: > London Paddington to Castle Cary, followed by a 12-minute taxi ride (best to pre-book)> London Paddington to Westbury and then a local train to BrutonThanks to @merlin_johnson and the team @thepharmacybruton for that perfect lunch!#bruton #londondaytrip #weekendescape by @realrobbentley

An unforgettable evening celebrating the launch of sporting icon Cristiano Ronaldo’s newest Spanish-Mediterranean restaurant, TATEL Malta, in St. George’s Bay. Welcoming more than 400 invited guests, the glamorous launch featured live music, expertly crafted cocktails, and delicious canapés, all set against the backdrop of a warm Maltese summer evening (yes, those fans were working overtime!). If you’re heading to Glasgow anytime soon, you’ll want to save these restaurants—all recommendations from an insider: chef Peter McKenna. On our tour (with Peter as our guide), we stopped at:@elperronegroburgers – the first Scottish restaurant to be named among the World’s 101 Best Burger Places.@_bar_dani – a Basque-inspired wine bar serving delicious small plates to share.@swadishbyajaykumar – the fine dining Indian restaurant of Great British Menu 2024 finalist, Ajay Kumar.@madefromgrapesgla – an independent wine bar with an excellent selection of wines and incredible bar snacks. And, of course, Peter’s own excellent restaurant, @bistroelevenfiftyfive, which you can see more of in an earlier reel.We also visited two passionate local producers, @deargreen and @dookitbrewing, which I’ll be sharing more about in an upcoming post.A huge thank you to @petermckennaglasgow1 for such a brilliant day, to @francescasmalleypr for ferrying us around Glasgow, and to my fellow diners @emmahendy_, @nellgordonhall, @abigail_florajane and @tomjenkinseats.Press trip with @soundbitepr @visitglasgow_sco#glasgow #glasgowfood #commonwealthgames2026 by @realrobbentley

Heading to Glasgow for the next couple of days to eat my way around a city whose restaurant scene has been quietly (and deliciously) making a name for itself. Our insider guide is chef Peter McKenna, and the tour begins at his own restaurant, Eleven Fifty Five, which has been picking up rave reviews in the press. A beautiful restaurant, superb cooking and a meal that more than lived up to the hype.My only complaint? Having to share it with a table full of hungry journalists. I’ll definitely be back when I can keep a few more mouthfuls for myself. Thanks for a fabulous meal, Peter. More food adventures around the city tomorrow.Press trip with @soundbitepr @bistroelevenfiftyfive @petermckennaglasgow1 @visitglasgow_sco #glasgow #glasgowfood #glasgowrestaurants by @realrobbentley

A couple of weeks ago, I visited Padstow in Cornwall on a press trip for the very first time. Once a sleepy fishing village, it’s now synonymous with Rick Stein, whose iconic Seafood Restaurant is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.Minutes after dropping our bags off we hopped on a fishing boat to catch our supper with the one and only Jack Stein – and yes, I managed to hook my first ever mackerel! Back on shore, Jack showed us how to fillet and debone our catch before cooking it our main course at the Rick Stein Cookery School. A 3-course dinner followed with wine pairing from Charlie Stein. A very rewarding experience and gave me a whole new appreciation for the journey from sea to plate. The trip also highlighted Rick Stein Restaurants’ ‘Forgotten Fish’ campaign, which shines a spotlight on the sea’s unsung heroes, encourages us to broaden the range of fish we eat, and supports the Fishermen’s Mission charity along the way.A brilliant couple of days of incredible food, fresh sea air, and a deeper appreciation for the people and produce that make Britain’s fishing industry so special. 🐟🌊Have you ever caught and cooked your own dinner? 🎣Let me know in the comments.@ricksteinrestaurants @jacksteinchef @charliestein1 @ricksteinscookeryschool Thanks to @thesaucecollective__ for the invite. by @realrobbentley
