We hope you’re doing well amidst recent scary climate news, with the worst El Niño in a thousand years recently reported 😓

It’s predicted to take us past not just 1.5C of average global heating for a period, but 2C. Climate researcher Dr Nicholas Beuret says, “this is the difference between what is merely dangerous climate change and absolute catastrophe.”

This “climate supercycle” will accelerate food prices, resource shortages, disrupt supply chains and increase economic instability.

It’s so easy to feel powerless, but every person and organisation has the power to instead contribute to a Just Transition and dramatically reduce our greenhouse gas emissions.

We’re here to support you in making a difference!

👉 Our Carbon Literacy Course for Fashion and Retail breaks down the science and gives best practice studies, industry approaches to inspire and motivate, and the tools you need to build climate action in your role & organisation.

Don’t miss the chance to join our upcoming online course on 30 October & 6 November, 9am-1pm GMT!

This training will be led by experienced sustainable fashion leaders & professionals @safia_minney, @the_elephant_in_my_wardrobe & @hannahlaurenriley

If you have to fly BIMAN, Bangladesh national airline, rather than the oily ones via the Middle East you come into Sylhet, the beautiful tea growing area of northern Bangladesh, then Dhaka, saving 25% GHG emissions …! And great food & vintage inspired food tray too! Love this green. ( I am NOT sponsored to say this - as a climate activist, I don’t promote airlines, and turned down a big campaign from British Airways a few years back!) 🦋🦋🦋Here with the lovely & talented designer & comms pro @shaylasakora - we’re working on “Nature & Women” textile exhibit - together with @thanaparaswallows - an exhibition showing at Zandra Rhodes founded museum Fashion & Textile Museum, London in 2027. We’ll also be catching up with @indilisi_ crafts groups too! Will share snaps along the way … music by Arnob, legend Bangladeshi singer & musician who also contributed a powerful art work on peace 💚 along with other artists - watch this space for more …🌈💚🌱💚💃🏽🦋💪🏽💚🌱 by @realsustainable

We love British artist Stuart Semple’s ‘Zero Fucks’ 2025 intervention & think it’s brilliant!

“The world has stopped giving a fuck because it doesn’t know what to give a fuck about. The result? Zero fucks left to give...

If we don’t start soon, we might forget we ever gave a fuck, or worse, lose the ability to give a fuck at all.” - words from @pro_radix

We certainly do give a fuck about people & planet 🌍 and know you do too!

If you’re in London, join us for our upcoming evening event, ‘Circularity, Clothing & Craft Conversations: Out of Fashion’:

🗓️ Friday 11 September, 6:30-8:30pm
📍Conway Hall, Red Lion Square, London, WC1R 4RL
🎟️ Tickets available now - link in bio!

Join our trailblazer panelists in sustainable fashion and political justice for an evening’s discussion about how circularity & craft can lead to a Just Transition and regenerative fashion system:

• Safia Minney MBE, Founder, Fashion Declares & Indilisi (@safia_minney)
• Polly Leonard, Founder & Editor, Selvedge Magazine (@selvedgemagazine)
• Gemma Metheringham, Circular Fashion Advocate (@the_elephant_in_my_wardrobe)
• Amelia Twine, Sustainable Fashion Week (@sustainablefashionweek_uk)
• Niki de Schryver, COSH.eco (@cosh.eco)
