All good things must come to an end, good thing I’m just getting started🤭

To God: “If God is for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31. This is the verse I chose to be on my letterman my junior year of high school. Little did I know I would turn to this verse for reassurance to get me through my college experience. It has not been easy, but God always knew I was going to do it. Spiritually, I have grown so much more than I ever thought I would. I have learned what my relationship with God looks like and I work to strengthen it every day.

To Dad: I wish you were here to witness this accomplishment with me. However, I know you are watching because I feel your presence. People have always said “You’re dad would be proud”, but I didn’t truly believe it until now. You’ve never asked much of us. Just be good and graduate college. I am so glad to say, I have finally done both!

To Mom: You have been my backbone through it all. My cheerleader, therapist and home girl (to a certain extent) all wrapped into one. You keep me grounded when I get overwhelmed and always know what to say. You always keep me on my toes and remind me to think of my future. I am grateful to you for being there during my darkest times, even if it was just to listen. My greatest accomplishment thus far is making you proud.

To Family: To my parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts and older cousins, thank you for being an example for me. To my little cousins, nieces and nephews, thank you for allowing me to be an example. I am grateful for each and every one of you. From birth, you all have pushed me to be the best I can be and never settle for less. I carry this with me every day. Although I may not talk to everyone frequently, you all hold a special place in my heart. I wouldn’t be where I am today without y’all!

To Friends: I will forever cherish the long lasting friendships that I have gained over the past four years. Each person that I have met has taught me many lessons about myself and life. I am grateful for the preexisting friendships that only grew stronger as we went through college together. Purpose gets you started, passion keeps you going & perseverance got me here!🎓

On May 11th, 2024 at 8 am I will be graduating from the prestigious Prairie View A&M University with a Bachelor’s in Biology and a minor in Kinesiology. God has allowed this extraordinary institution to equip me with the necessary skills and experiences to be successful. These past four years have been life altering and I will forever cherish them! 🎉

Where do I even begin? You were so many things to me: my father, my twin, my biggest fan, my coach, my best friend, my protector, my strength, my heart. I never thought this day would come so soon. You have left your mark on everyone you encountered. Thank you for being the best father to not only me, but to all of my friends as well.
