Praise God for this beautiful Resurrection Day! Today we got to spend time with dear brothers and sisters. We celebrate the greatest news the world has ever heard Jesus Christ is risen! Death has been defeated, sin has been conquered, and the grave has lost its grip forever.

This day is bursting with joy, not just because of an empty tomb, but because of a living Savior who still meets us in our weakness, walks with us in our pain, and fills our hearts with hope that cannot die. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is at work in us, giving us new life, new purpose, and a joy that no circumstance can steal.

All because, Jesus is alive. taken in Proehlific Park by @reaserice215

I’m excited to officially launch The Small Stones Project—a space to gather the overlooked fragments of life and reflect on what they mean. From theology to culture, lyrics to film, this blog is about pausing, paying attention, and letting even the small things speak.

I hope many of you come on this journey with me—not to build monuments, but to make meaning. I’m looking forward to the conversations, the questions, the pushback, and the community that forms along the way. Let’s build something honest, thoughtful, and rooted—one small stone at a time. taken in Wake Forest, North Carolina by @reaserice215

Here, Shai Linne provides us very helpful categories for how we can engage one other with regards to addressing ethnic sins as opposed to saying “you’re a racist” or a “you’re a white supremacist”… and it makes it seem like only white peoples commit ethnic sins against people of color which is absolutely false because every ethnic group sins in the same or similar effects with varying degrees of effect when these groups have more or less power. The term race, racism, or racist is too big and too sweeping, and too loaded to be useful when you are dealing with a person who has hurt you in the area of ethnicity. I mean think about it… to say a person is a racist can include a murderous KKK member and it can also include a 21 year old woman making a racially insensitive comment about the way black peoples talk or dress… Question: If someone is guilty of being a racist, how do they repent of that when the term is so broad and so sweeping? Is there anyone who can sin in an ethnic way and not be a racist? Do people of color commit these sins against each other? If so, how do they repent? You see what I’m saying? The Bible actually gives us categories for ethnic sins that we all commit at one point or another. We can more thoughtfully care for one another when we can specifically name what it is we are seeing. I believe this framework has the ability to be extremely shaping and helpful. #clarityandcompassion taken in Koury Convention Center by @reaserice215
