The bag looks expensive, but it really isn’t. 🤎

One of my favourite affordable fall finds from Gina Tricot. Proof that a good outfit doesn’t have to come with a designer price tag.

Obsessed with the corset detailing and the most flattering silhouette! A modern take on traditional South Asian occasionwear.

Also her mom. 💗🌸

No one really tells you that giving birth comes with a full identity crisis… like yes, I’d heard about it, just didn’t think it would hit like this 🙃

No, I didn’t lose myself, I just… evolved I guess. (👧🏽 → 💍 → 🏡 → 🤰🏽 → 👩🏽‍🍼 → 🧑‍🧑‍🧒) Figuring out what that version of me looks like is still very much a work in progress. Like do I dress the same? Is there even a “mum style”? Or did we all just collectively make that up??

Being Tamil adds another layer, modesty and certain expectations, especially as a mum. So now I’m like… how much do I take on? Do I adjust or stay exactly me? I can already read some of the aunties minds: “look at what she is wearing 😲 இவளெல்லாம் ஒரு அம்மாவா?”

Anyway then we got this new body… we’re definitely getting there. Learning how to dress it, feel good in it and still recognise myself in it.

Some days it all makes sense, some days I’m just figuring it out as I go…. 🤡🙃
