This fabric i printed myself with a textile printer. The inspiration was the sea 🌊 filled with plastic. I used microscopic textures as a base and took pictures of plastic I shredded.

With the print I want to spread awareness of the toxicity of Microplastics and them just floating in our body. 🍼

This is a modular Harness I created. Its a body piece that is added to a collar. 👑
The Material is cotton and I 3D-printed closures for easy usage.🖨
In what color would you want to see this piece?

Wearable just by itself or to evaluate a basic outfit 🤌

Some Process of this dress.
I used cotton mesh squares and printed bioplastic "pearls" on it. There were so many pieces and a complex but also simple construction. The reason I used so many single pieces is because you never know what the printer does with the fabric if you don't secure it well enough 🤌

The dress shows the absorption of microplastic through our skin due to various products we use and plastic clothes we wear 😵‍💫

Thx to @initiative_moe_e.v for making this possible!

I don't know if you know, but I also have a photography background. 📸 Besides crafting I still love to take pictures, especially capturing my own work 💪 simply feels like a full circle moment ✨️ Here is some behind the scenes 😁

The topic of the clothes was "macrodosing microplastic," which is why I wanted to enhance this plastic aesthetic.

Thx @katharinasaurer for capturing!

Experimenting with coconut leather. Have you ever heard of that?
It is made in India. The material is quite strong but more like thick flexible paper. Super interesting Material for the vegans 🌱

🪾Some fabric swatches where I tried to combine elements from humans and nature. I tried to find similarities and used materials like human hair, birch bark, natural resin, textile, and thin wood.

Side note: it is super interesting working with human hair. You can literally feel the energies. 🔮

What is your favorite?

👑 Welcome to my Queendom! I have been loving these collars for so long, that I came up with a practical mordernised Version. But its not only a necklace, it can also transform into a Harness 🤫

"Surface" – Skin as a Filter

from my BA-Thesis: Macrodosing Microplastic
The outfit highlights the skin’s constant exposure to microplastics. Its transparent dress, covered with 3D-printed microplastic particles, symbolizes toxins shed from synthetic fabrics that can be absorbed through the skin. Paired with protective gloves, the look emphasizes the paradox of seeking localized protection while leaving the rest of the body exposed. It reflects the tension between the desire for protection and the reality of ongoing vulnerability.

„Ingested“ – Digestive System

from my BA-Thesis: Macrodosing Microplastic

The outfit alludes to the oral ingestion of microplastics. The rope harness traces the path—traveled not only by our food but also by microplastic particles—as it moves through our bodies. The semi-transparent top highlights the sensitivity of the digestive system. Food is not merely sustenance; to a small extent, it is also plastic. This outfit aims to draw attention to these critical issues.

"Breathless" – airways

from my BA-Thesis: Macrodosing Microplastic

The fully biodegradable look highlights the omnipresence of microplastic particles in our immediate environment, the air. The plastic particles in the air become visible in an oversized way on organic tissue all over the body. The look shows that our clothing sheds microplastic particles and that these can be directly inhaled and thus enter our system. The focus of this outfit, besides the print, is on the voluminous sleeve to emphasize the upper part of the outfit, the lung region, and the accumulation of plastic particles in this area.
