Fun fact: my mom used to work for me 🙃! And after 5 years at She Runs It, she is officially retired 🎉! Celebrating her, the legend she is and all the things she accomplished while with that org and her long tenured career in project management! I consider myself lucky to have gotten this special opportunity and am excited at the next new chapter she is about to embark on! I did a thing today! One month shy of my five year anniversary in Brooklyn Heights and i’ve officially SOLD my very first apartment. WHAT.AN.EXPERIENCE! Starting a new chapter (and project) as we speak and can’t wait! Couldn’t have made it without my family, friends, agent (@daniellesellsnyc) and worlds best contractor. While it’s bittersweet to leave a place with such fond memories, I can’t wait to make new ones in my next big adventure! Dogs are (wo)mans best friend. No truer phrase could be used to describe Sofee and I other than best friends.

A few years back, my company hired a photographer to take pics of employees and something that “described” them for an edit piece. It was mean’t to show off a hobby or favorite pastime. But all I could think of was my Sofee. Just about everyone would agree my life revolved around her. And so they obliged and I got this beautiful photo. I’ve always treasured this as it captures what means the most to me.

Unfortunately after a rough few months, my best friend left me yesterday. Many of you know this, but Sofee was a gift from my grandma after I graduated from
college. I’ve spent my entire adult life with her and we’ve literally done it ALL together.

I’m (trying to) take solace in knowing it wasn’t me that left her as I know the pain would have been too hard for her to handle. I love you, Sofee! taken in Brooklyn Heights Historic District by @rebekahlwalter
