Our amazing Solo Jazz teacher Else will be starting a new chapter in her life very soon, so we're sorry to say that this term will be her last term teaching at Swing in Rhythm!

Else brings an infectious energy to her classes and makes everyone feel comfortable and free to express themselves.

Give it a try, it'll be your last chance!

Furthermore, Else was not able to participate in this year's Open Days, so you're free to go along to the first class (Thursday 17 September) and try the lesson for free!

A BIG BIG thank you to my beautiful team @la__benne and @andreadevincenzi93 for sharing your energy and musicality! And of course a BIG BIG thank you to all our students for connecting with each other, being open to new things and bringing your joy 💛

Check out this lovely video of our solo jazz students, dancing a routine they choreographed themselves!

If you'd like to join for some solo jazz fun this summer, Else will be teaching some classic solo jazz routines in August:

11 August: Shim Sham (suitable for all levels)
12 & 13 August: Tranky Doo (all levels, but it's a bit trickier).

Else's lessons are always full of fun and quality movement techniques, and scattered with snippets of jazz history. Don't miss this opportunity this summer! 😍

Back to drawing a little here and there :)
It seems that seeing Paul McCartney a couple of weeks ago (obviously) inspired me. And I have to say, Peanut is a great assistant. by @rebelselse

Two weeks ago Paul McCartney announced an impromptu event in London the next week…
And we were so incredibly lucky to be there!!! @jackkinsellaguitar

In the beautiful venue The Roundhouse in Camden, which holds less than two thousand people, no cameras allowed (photo I found online), just two chairs and some homely furniture on stage, this night was very intimate. We listened to Paul’s new album “The Boys of Dungeon Lane” over the speakers (nice and loud so I could sing along) as Paul was singing along, miming the instruments and doing some classic dance moves. Rob Brydon is clearly a massive fan and this resulted in a wonderful conversation with interesting questions and insights, witty humour and impressions and a very relaxed atmosphere, the perfect host. It was as if we were around the kitchen table listening to songs together and hearing the stories behind them.
An absolute magical night.

And of course we had to do a little Beatles-tourism, visiting Abbey Road, taking THE photo and wearing all my Beatles/Paul-related clothes.
What a perfect mini trip. I can’t believe I was only a few meters away from Paul McCartney… What a legend. Happy birthday @paulmccartney ❤️🐦‍⬛

I’m not here to impress, I’m here to express - I think Barney Kessel said that, and I like it 💛

Dancing to me isn’t always about learning new things or practising them, it’s also just about dancing.
