And just like that… she’s 5. Happiest Birthday to my little love. It amazes me every day how smart she is, how beautiful and how kind (sometimes not so much with her brother 😬😉). I swear every time I turn around she’s gotten taller yet she’s still this itty bitty little thing. She is absolutely spoiled and I know it - but she doesn’t - so hopefully I can keep it that way 💕 My God I just love her. Can’t believe it’s been 5 years already!!! by @reconstructing_melissa

It is our last weekend together before she goes off to learn and flourish on her own and I am not okay.

She’ll spend more of her day at school than she does at home and who decided that’s how this should all work? What if she doesn’t know what to do at lunch and just doesn’t grab anything? What if someone makes her believe that her voice doesn’t matter or that she’s less than? What if someone’s mean to her? What if she’s mean to herself? 😭

Academically, girl is there - 4.5 and reading already- but… she’s so little 😢… I’m not ready. Don’t worry, I have not shed a single tear in front of her and I’ve made sure to make this an exciting, adventurous time… but Mama’s been secretly crying on and off all day.

I hope she knows I love her more than the world. That I will always have her back no matter what, that she can do anything she puts her mind to and that I’ll do whatever I can to help her find what makes HER heart happy.

Long video but Bryson’s speech has really exploded over the summer! He goes to speech therapy twice per week and we’ll be continuing with that in addition to TOTE this fall (and I’m lucky enough to be able to work with him every day), so hopefully we can continue this momentum 💙. No developmental delays aside from speech- maybe little dude felt like his sister and I talk enough for all of us 😆 by @reconstructing_melissa
