Rest in bliss Bobby baby.

I used to play this to you when you first turned up and every morning play it for breakfast. It will always remind me because of your blue eyes and the last day watching you fly in the blue blue sky 💙
I hate being without you. by @red.broad

Story starts on Reel.
..I opened the door for Frank to go out and out flew Bobby.
My heart was in my throat as I calmly called "come here"... that had never happened before but this bird always landed on my shoulder for safety. Off bobby soured into the blue sky, briefly landing in a tree and then gliding over the the trees where the other crows live. She looked incredible wings spread in that sky but in my head and in the heat my heart then dropped and a voice said "that's the end for bobby" I ran to the property banging on the gates, 30 minutes passed me calling "hello is anyone home?" The wall was 3 meters. I walked around and briefly saw bobby in the trees. I called "come here" and all the crows took off, I heard Bobby cry out. I knew it meant serious trouble.
I ran to get the ladder and took on the 3 meter wall. It was so hot my hands burned on the brick if it was hot for me imagine for bobby. I had to get to that bird.

I made it over still calling if anyone was home. I found Bobby in the sand between two chicken dens, wings folded and mouth open. I scooped Bobby up and all the crows flew and cawed at me. As I walked away a man approached, I apologized profusely he didn't speak any English and waved me off the property I walked with a crow in one hand and a ladder in the other.

As I made it back to the villa I broke into tears apologizing to Bobby for my mistake 40 minutes in that heat, guilt just consumed me. As we sat I prayed that Bobby would make it through like last time. I checked for injuries, there was none I could see. Bobby was dizzy, off balance and in need of rest. They said not to force water or food and put them in a dark safe place for them to recover.

A few hours later bobby drank a little and made a small crow sound. I comforted bobby like I always had, softly stroking feathers and singing softly. It was more life than when I got bobby, I decided to let her rest, I knew a car journey on the heat to a vet would not help and small sips of water made me hopeful. I put Bobby to bed 5th August and sang softly as always.

August 6th I opened the blinds and knew in my heart Bobby wasnt here anymore. Im sorry it was my fault. I miss you. by @red.broad

R.I.P Bobby

On the evening of June 10th I got called to a community nearby with the hopes of being reunited with a lost cat called Ziggy. A street cat we had wanted to adopt but had gone missing May 25th.

The cat I met wasn't Ziggy and as I walked backed to my truck I passed a swimming pool, sat on its belly was a fledgling crow, fallen from the nest I gathered which is common in summer. I put down some cat food and was pretty confident the parents would attend to it in the morning.

June 11th there was messages in a community group of an injured crow found. I knew exactly who they were talking about I messaged my partner "rescue bebi crow?" and he said "of course"  immediately I headed home to have the baby crow delivered to us.

She was weak and had a broken leg. I managed to get an appointment with a aviarian specialist at 11pm that night. The vet told me this bird probably won't make it through the night and we need the think about quality of life. I looked at him for a moment and  he hung his head and said "I'll give some injections, take the bird home, feed every 2 hours. If in 2 days health declines its kinder to put the bird to sleep" he didnt even charge me for the appointment.

I took that bird home. Everyday from June 11th I woke up at the crack of dawn to hand feed every 2 hours. Bobby got stronger everyday. We went to a few more appointments about what could be done for the leg, it was an old break that had fused and theres no fixing it. unfortunately Bobby would never be able to survive in the wild and doing so "would be a death sentence"
Other crows would not accept Bobby with that kind of injury and he/she is too imprinted by humans" he said as Bobby sat on my shoulder in the vets. ...

In this episode, artist and environmentalist Peter Farrington shares the extraordinary, mystical story behind his powerful abstract painting, "Rainbow Warriors." Created in just one hour in 2015, the piece was intuitively channeled as a gesture of healing for a fellow artist facing major spinal surgery. From discovering a real-life equivalent in the vibrant Hawaiian rainbow eucalyptus tree—which, unbeknownst to Peter, was his friend’s profile picture for over a year—to a medical doctor identifying the canvas’s unique textures as identical to human brain tissue, this painting stands as a profound testament to what happens when we surrender control and trust the universe. Join us as we explore the intersection of art, subtle energies, and the healing power of nature. by @red.broad

In this episode of the podcast, we sit down with environmentalist and artist Peter Farrington to explore his latest work, "All Seeing." Peter’s unique perspective bridges the gap between the raw beauty of the natural world and the interpretive power of canvas and pigment.

We dive deep into the philosophy behind "All Seeing," discussing how art can serve as a catalyst for environmental consciousness and why "truly seeing" is the first step toward conservation. Whether you are an art lover, an eco-activist, or someone looking to change your perspective, this conversation offers a profound look at the interconnectedness of creativity and the earth. by @red.broad

@red.broad wrote the lyrics and became the voice of this track through the entire process until it became what it is today

@ananyamuraliii backing vocals made it even shinier ✨

You're a journey, a space, a home.
An endless conversation with segways.
You're an island that hasn't been found,
with wild trees and crashing waves.

The bird that soars after the storm.
the warmth of sun that starts the day.
The peace I find when all is lost and
resentful laughter at things you say.

You're a gift to those you keep around.
The silent mountain showing the way.
You're the sparks moving amongst the stars
and watching it all, is where I lay.

.. my favourite place to stay.

Last week I spent 42 hours over 5 days painting the biggest piece I've ever attempted. 180cm x 120cm - with ink, acrylic, watercolour and pastel. This is the beginning of my art year. I entered an art competition for the first time in my life, I'll let you know how it all goes. The theme for the competition is "we belong here" I wanted to portray our origin, since we are made of star dust.
