👋🏽 y’all! Welcome to my crochet journey ☺️ My name is Amber aka “Red.”
.
In 2022, I taught myself how to crochet and have fallen more and more in love with it since. My husband always says I’m “knitting” hence, “Red Knits” 😉
.
My Grandma (Memere) used to make everyone crochet gifts. When we lost her in 2022, I decided to teach myself to feel close to her again. I fell in love with it! Not only do I feel close to one of my favorite humans again, but I get to create things for other people! A little piece of her is in all my crafts 💜🙏🏼
.
Red Knits…. Inspired by Gert 💜 [Gert was my Memere’s name]

I’m not really sure if I’ve ever been more proud of anything in my life! When I first learned how to crochet granny squares, I knew I needed to create this blanket for my sister, who loves sunflowers.
.
My original plan was just one yellow and one green, but I couldn’t decide what I liked better. So I used them all and made a pattern 🤩🤩
.
Granny squares are not for the weak 😅 this took me way longer than I care to admit, only because I kept going to other projects to get a break. It was worth all the time put in.
.
I hope she loves it 💜

I had the best time at @northfieldvineyardswinery fall market! Though, summer was hanging on for dear life 🥵 three days in 90°+ heat 7 months pregnant is not for the weak 😬
.
This event was extremely well run, and I cannot wait to go back again next year!! Thank y’all so much for the amazing event 🩵

My niece found a big elephant at a local market and asked my sister if she thought I could make one.

I don’t think this was exactly what she had in mind 😂😂

Jack seemed a little lonely… he needed Jackie!

I needed something to help pass the time between events when my husband competed at the Master’s Fitness Championship. Jackie was the perfect project!
