Long live the King

Ken Block’s Peoples Champ exhibit was perfect, it really let us take a walk through Ken’s world to see it through the eyes of his friends.

I barely got pics, it was just great talks all night.

@kblock43 brought us all together, now I’m just excited for what comes next.

“ARTSY”
Dedicated to the memory of Ken Block and his circle that remains, this empire was built to disrupt. The Red Mountain project would not exist without the inspiration I took from Ken to just go for it.

To the misfits Ken brought with him on his journey, this piece is for you as much as it is Ken and I hope it brings up memories, stories and reminders of who he was. I couldn’t ever possibly cover everything or tag everyone, which says even more about KB’s vision and the volume of unforgettable projects, content, media and experiences he gave the world.

This piece celebrates the underdogs and paints them in the same light as some of Ken’s biggest accomplishments. He treated people this way, he had an eye for hidden value and promise. I think it’s a lesson we should all move into the future with to honor him.

@43institute Exists to bring opportunity, resources and access to those underdogs, the driven are driven no matter their chosen field. @kblock43 specialized in the encouragement and pressure necessary to reveal the true potential of everything and everyone he poured his energy into. He dug deep to find the gold in himself, and he inspired everyone to do the same.

Next time you meet a motivated creative with wild dreams, pour into them and see where the journey goes.

Take a look at this new gig poster we just finished for @_bogsgart 2026! Such a cool community of people, as a former VW Vortex dub cub and someone with a euro obsession problem in my 20’s, this piece was a pleasure to do.

From the Grateful Dead style lettering, then the reference architecture to the beetle on Turbomacs, to the MK2 Golf on C4 Sawblades, to @buddythacorgi telling spooky stories over a magnesium block campfire (IYKYK), then of course you know I had to add my signature UFO… this piece has a lot of my favorite things in it and I love it.

Huge shoutout to @forest_duplessis for this project, I’m stoked we finally got to create something rad together and I hope your folks love it at this weekend’s event. Already looking at making it out for next year!

What a timecrush this was! Throw a desert weekend at the finish line and we have a wicked new wallpaper base for @dannyaitkenmotorsport that I couldn’t be more proud of.

Huge thanks to @brunovibrant for pairing up this project and especially Danny for trusting me to carry out the vision!

Looking forward to the next one with @vibrant_performance because we’re gonna bring WAY more cowbell with a longer timeline 🤙🏼

Sunday reps, chipping away at the biggest project I’ve ever done. I’ve planned a whole timelapse content series for this so you can understand the assets I chose for this project. I didn’t know Ken but I’m one of the most observant people you’re gonna meet.

I try to make ordinary things extraordinary because they’re part of the story, so this piece will show the same love to the little things as the amazing things that KB created. Because that’s just life; it’s a mixture that depends entirely on perspective.

This piece aims to push the boundaries of my art and it’s my best attempt at honoring one of my heroes in life.

@tpain messed around and accidentally said something I really needed to hear 🤣 So I had to capture it as the motivation it was even after laughing.

It was hilarious to start but as real as it possibly gets for artists and creatives.

We simply cannot do this for your permission, or else it ain’t worth doing. It’s a bear trap when you build a creative business that hinges on crowd pleasing. That approach requires us to put on our own puppet strings and hand them to you guys.

I don’t know anybody I respect who wants that from me. RM might never be sh*t because I won’t choose a popular niche and tie on my own strings so the algorithm can drive my art development.

Pain has always struck me as someone who can’t spiritually afford to be anybody but himself. Adaptable and talented yet settling for conventional expression wouldn’t suit him.

The mind game is that the rest of us get convinced it’s any different for us because monthly bills require monthly income, corps offer their branded mask and expect you to wear them, I’ve learned how not to but there are a majority of people “settling out” who don’t know how to paint their mask while protecting their dreams.

It comes down to the deeper meaning of what Pain mentions here; “f#ck you” in the face of conventional expression, and betting on yourself to reach far enough to find anybody who appreciates who you truly are.

Today’s algorithm is dumping creators on their knuckles hard, it seems fully reliant on your following sharing you, I experienced a 1000% boost of a 0’d out reel that sat for 3 hours, just because my wife shared it. We’re on our own as a community lol.

I’m with that. So be it. I created without an audience for most my life, I did it for years on socials, somehow I found the right people and I’m lucky as hell.
