ALIAS CHANGE : mateo becomes Red Egma

Looking for a new alias isn’t easy.
For years, I convinced myself I could stick with just my name even if referencing wasn’t always straightforward.

But after so many back-and-forths, the streaming platforms won me over on this one. Actually, there isn’t a single platform where all my tracks are under my artist page (and moving them can be a nightmare...!)

So I had to come up with something... and here comes Red Egma.

Red Egma is a tribute to Emma Goldman, one of the writers and activists who shaped the most my political views over the last years.
Her work is over a century old, but her perspectives on society feel scarily contemporary. (and that's not great news, haha)
I can only encourage you to dive into her work.

As for me, my links are updated, and the first releases under this alias are set...
So let's go ✨

TOXXIC rehearsal snippet ✨

trying to emerge some light from darkness

i keep diving into the same processes, here, all the textures come from mic-captured only material (a breathing) and a load of parallel processing 🪼

beyond excited to finally see this show coming to life, premieres oct 15 & 16 @les_subs_lyon

TOXXIC is written and directed by @jennifergold__ & @antoinebriot

and made by a beautiful team that includes @clarissedelile @julietteromens @denis.dedieu (and many more….!)

happy 909 day !

taking this opportunity to sharing bits of a track i made a few months ago with a quite lite “setup”:

- 1x 909 (plugin, Drumazon 2 by @d16group )
- 1x synth (the beautiful Bazille by @uheplugins )
- and that’s it ! (if you don’t count parallel treatment haha)

actually this one might be the next free download track…?
