🇮🇹 Dopo giorni nel deserto senza incontrare nessuno, mentre passavamo vicino ad una base militare ci raggiungono questi due signori, preoccupati perché stavamo andando a Yazd via deserto.
Come sempre, quando vengo fermato da macchine con più di una persona lascio il motore acceso e la seconda inserita, non si sa mai, anche se devo dire che in Iran nessuno può sentirsi in pericolo, se ti fermano è solamente per accertarsi che sia tutto ok.

🇬🇧 After days in the desert without encountering anyone, while we were passing near a military base, these two gentlemen caught up with us, concerned because we were heading to Yazd through the desert. As usual, when I’m stopped by cars with more than one person, I leave the engine running and the second gear engaged, you never know, although I must say that in Iran, no one can really feel in danger. If they stop you, it’s only to make sure everything is alright.

🇮🇹 Viaggiare in Iran ti permette di scoprire a fondo il paese proprio per il costo della benzina quasi azzerato.
La qualità non è altissima ma possiamo definirla buona e sinceramente non ci interessa perché montiamo un @purmotors_filters che oltre a filtrare separa l’acqua, la resa chilometrica è minore ma con quello che costa va benissimo.
Ricordo ancora l’emozione del primo pieno in Iran.

The quality is not very high but we can define it as good and honestly we do not care because we mount a @purmotors_filters that in addition to filtering separates the water, the mileage is lower but with what it costs it is fine.

After two years of crossing the world, I made it to Nepal with one goal in mind: continue on to Japan and fulfil a dream-riding across the country during Sakura season.

Winter closing in, snow starting to fall, I stored my bike and gear in Kathmandu with a courier who assured me everything would be safe, insured, and secure.

Three months later, I went to collect it at Tokyo Airport—excited like a kid on Christmas morning.

I opened the crate and found everything chewed through.

Rats had gotten inside. The crate hadn’t been sealed properly.

My luggage, riding gear, helmet, boots, tent, and even the bike’s wiring—all destroyed.

Around $10,000 worth of damage.

The courier has stopped responding, and trying to take legal action from abroad in Nepal isn’t realistic.

A trip that’s been years in the making has come to a sudden stop.

If you’re able to help-even a small amount-it will go directly toward replacing gear, repairs, and getting me back on the road to circumnavigating Japan and continuing toward Africa.

With limited time on my visa and vehicle permit, I need to rebuild as quickly as possible before I’m forced to ship the bike out of Japan.

I’m determined to keep going.

Everything I’ve been traveling with for the past two years is gone.

From tent to boots.

After nearly two years on the road, I finally shipped my motorcycle from Nepal to Japan to continue the journey. What was meant to be a dream come true - circumnavigating Japan during Sakura season, quickly turned into a nightmare. When I un-crated the bike at the airport, I found that rodents had gotten inside.

They had chewed through all my gear, destroyed essential equipment, and damaged the bike itself. What I rely on every day to travel and live is no longer usable.

This comes after being hit by an uninsured driver in India, which left me recovering for months—entirely self-funded. I pushed through that, determined to keep going.

Now I’m starting over from almost nothing.

The courier company in Nepal that stored my bike failed to properly seal or insure the shipment despite repeated assurances, and pursuing this in Nepal is extremely difficult.

Right now, I’m stuck, trying to figure out how to rebuild what was lost and continue the journey.

Operazione di salvataggio 🛟
Ci siamo fermati a bordo strada per aiutare un signore che ha forato una splendida Honda CT 125. Ma quanto é bella?
@redaadventure gli ha cambiato la camera d’aria, anche se di misura più grande. Poco male. Giusto per farlo arrivare al negozio moto più vicino.
Importante: sempre avere un compressore dietro! Può servire un po’ a tutti. Noi abbiamo i compressori @rockbros_europe : leggeri, potenti e durevoli💪🏻
Quante volte, fermi a bordo strada noi, siamo stati avvicinati da qualche passante preoccupato per chiedere se avevamo bisogno di aiuto.
Ci sembra giusto restituire il favore all’universo quando possiamo.

🇮🇹 L’Oman resta selvaggio, questo perché spinta da una collettività consapevole e che non partecipa alla gara dei grattacieli che spesso abbiamo visto in medio oriente, la gente del posto non vuole resort di lusso, perché hanno compreso che il vero lusso è ciò che hanno già ora.

🇬🇧 Oman remains wild, driven by a conscious society that doesn’t take part in the skyscraper race we often saw in the Middle East. The local people don’t want luxury resorts, because they’ve understood that the real luxury is what they already have.

🇮🇹 Benzinai insoliti, se dovessi fare una classifica dei distributori con la vista più bella, metterei l’Oman in prima possibile.
Quasi sempre a due passi dal mare, ogni litro di carburante è accompagnato da sabbia e sale 😂

🇬🇧 Unusual gas stations if I had to rank fuel stops with the best views, I’d probably put Oman in first place.
Almost always just steps away from the sea, every liter of fuel comes with a side of sand and salt 😂

🇮🇹 Come ben sapete in Afganistan abbiamo rotto entrambi i monoammrtizzatori e questo chi ha costretto a tornare in Italia, dopo varie ricerche mi viene consigliato da molti @judmaxmotorsport, partiamo direzione Empoli per portare il mio ohlins. Appena arriviamo capiamo subito di essere nel posto giusto, si respira passione e l’ambiente è paragonabile ad una sala operatoria.
Massimiliano mi consiglia di cambiare molla, l’originale è sottodimensionata rispetto a ciò che deve supportare, infatti per gran parte del viaggio dovevo dosare il gas su dossi o buche, toccavo spesso il paracoppa, infatti è totalmente deformato e tocca la coppa dell’olio, dopo aver sentito ciò, decidiamo di rialzare la moto ulteriormente, per dare più luce da terra.
Tutto ciò viene fatto con le mie mille domande e me fra i piedi.
Dopo aver pulito tutto e fatto le modifiche, si passa al banco prova (non sapevo nemmeno esistesse), Massimiliano controlla sempre tutto, mi dice che se sbaglia qualcosa il grafico parla.
Ora dopo aver attraversato Kyrghistan, Kazakistan, Cina, Laos e Thailandia posso dire con certezza che ora ho un’altra moto, stabilità e trazione che non avevo nemmeno con il mono appena acquistato.
Ora so che è stato settato sul mio peso, sul mio bagaglio e per il mio utilizzo.
Ci tengo a ringraziare Massimiliano e Judita con questo post.

Tanto fuoristrada e spot per campeggiare ovunque.
