Some bands write songs. MUDDLE OF PUDD writes reckonings. Forged in the suburban wilderness of coastal Orange County, frontman Dax Eisenhower III calls “No Time for Donuts” the band’s “Jagged Little Pill moment, but more of a tribute to the tactics, techniques and procedures of Tier One-level mall cops.

Inspired by a real-life, still classified security program, run out of the “Special Projects” office of the Irvine Company, the track wrestles with maintaining a standard of excellence, brotherhood, and pays homage to a society that militarizes its food courts before it fixes its schools. Drummer Kyle Harrington Jr. calls the recording sessions “spiritual.” He later clarified he meant “expensive.”

This is post-grunge for people who never quite got over the late 90’s…raw, wounded, kind of lame but catchy and just slightly over produced.

This Is Gonna Last Forever! Records is proud to release it on CD, with a forthcoming cassette release pending “budget conversations.”

Believe the hype. Buy the album. And watch your six.
