Isn't this lovely art + 250+yr old haiku poetically purrfect😽 for our Harvest Moon Saturday~Caturday, Friends?🤗

Set to rise low on the horizon this evening, September's fabulous Full🌚Harvest Moon will look larger, brighter & more💛golden than any other full moon of the year, casting long 🎑light over Autumn fields which historically helped hard working farmers reap their harvest🌾🍎🌽🫜 before the first frosts of Fall❄️

A lil backstory on this wonderful artist:

Yosa Buson (1716–1784) was a famous Japanese poet / painter of the Edo period. He was born near Osaka, moved to Edo (now Tokyo) to study art and poetry, then later settled in Kyoto.🏯
His poetry and paintings influenced each other. His haiku style is known for being bright, painterly, and full of vivid visual imagery. He helped perfect haiga, which is an art style that combines a haiku poem directly with a painting 🖌️
