Last Year, the Nigerian Red Cross Society launched the Malnutrition Emergency Appeal project to tackle the devastating challenge of Acute Malnutrition across 8 states: Katsina, Borno, Adamawa, Yobe, Zamfara, Benue, Sokoto, and Niger.Our Mothers' club volunteers are currently providing health & nutrition education, food supplies and helping mothers int the communities start their vegetable gardens and poultry farms.We are taking a multi-faceted approach in the fight agains hunger and Acute Malnutrition. But the needs still remain enormous. We call on all well meaning nigerians to donate to our Zero Hunger Campaign so that we can expand our interventions to many more communities in need of urgent help. Communities across Kebbi State are now better prepared to anticipate and respond to flood emergencies.With technical support from IFRC and in collaboration with the Kebbi State Emergency Management Agency (KSEMA), the Nigerian Red Cross Society (NRCS) has successfully concluded a Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) training under the ECHO-HIP Early Warning Early Action (EWEA) Disaster Preparedness Project.The training strengthened the capacity of Community-Based Disaster Risk Reduction Committees (CBDRCs), Local Emergency Management Committees (LEMCs), and community leaders in flood preparedness, response, and recovery. To further enhance community resilience, trained CBDRCs and divisions received essential response items, including raincoats, rain boots, safety jackets, first aid kits, stretchers, megaphones, and rescue ropes to support timely and effective emergency response.#ECHO-HIP #EarlyWarningEarlyAction by @redcrossnigeria
