Fun fact — I limewashed the walls of almost my entire apartment (except for the bathroom) within a month or so of moving in. The walls in the kitchen were an awful piss yellow and the bedroom walls were kind of a sagey green. My unit is east facing so I only get really good direct sunlight in the morning. So I really wanted to brighten up the walls, but with something interesting. So limewash it was. But I moved a bit too hastily and didn’t try out enough combinations, so you can’t really tell that the living room and kitchen are limewashed at all — the walls just look white 😭 however, the bedroom turned out much better and you can actually see the layers and the color variation and I love it 🥰

“afternoon light”

it’s really the light from the sun bouncing off the building across the street into mine. My apartment is east facing so it gets good direct sunlight early in the morning and very indirect sunlight the rest of the day. So this little pop of light coming through the windows in the afternoon is a treat 😊
