Another Flying Pig Half down! 🪽🐷🏃🏻‍♀️

I half heartedly trained for this, donated blood two days before, lost my earbuds so ran with just my thoughts, Fitbit died on the first mile… but still had a freaking blast. 🥰

Five years ago if you told me I would meet the man of my dreams, marry him, and have my happily ever after I would have rolled my eyes and scoffed. But here we are, two weeks after being named husband and wife! Friday the 13th, the day before Valentine’s Day!

Joey is everything I ever wanted, but nothing I ever looked for. If you know him, you love him. It’s impossible not to like him- and that’s just seeing him out in the world, living his life. I wish I could express the love I feel for him, but it’s just too big for words to explain (and that’s coming from me!)- Joey is literally one of a kind, the biggest heart, the goofiest, just… the best. I truly believe if there were more Joeys in the world, we’d have a better world.

Our wedding day was perfect. As I’ve let everyone and their mother know, I wanted to elope- but Joey was right, this was a special day worth celebrating, and the headaches of planning lead to just… well, the closest to magic I’ve ever been. I was a bit anxious leading up, but day-of I’ve never felt so sure and confident. Walking down that aisle I didn’t feel nervous, even with 150 of my closest people watching. I had the Killers playing, my dad leading me down, and my best half waiting for me.

Thank you to everyone who made it- a lot of you traveled great distances, took on a bit of headaches and planning to see us- and we love you for that. Thank you for all the in-towners, for being with us and supporting us. Thank you to everyone in our lives, without you we wouldn’t be here. A special thanks to our families, our wedding party, and everyone who helped day-of- you know who you are, and I’m eternally grateful for making it everything we could have ever wanted.

Well, here’s the fun part- the rest of our lives. Dare I say, it’s looking pretty darn good.

Friday the 13th, the day before Valentine’s Day, Mardi Gras weekend… and now the best day of my life. 🥰 I married my favorite person in the entire world, and I cannot believe how wonderful and ✨us✨ it was.

I married the other part of my soul, and I cannot wait to face the rest of our lives together. Here’s just a sneak of the day we had, stolen from all the people who helped celebrate it.

I RAN THE FLYING PIG HALF MARATHON! 🐷😭 It was both the hardest thing I’ve ever done and the most worth it, and I definitely cried crossing the finish line. I’ve never been so proud of myself. So many runs lead to this day- so many skipped social outings cause I had to run in the morning, so many cramps and shin splints and I currently have a huge blister and a bloody nail… but I did it. It wasn’t fast, but I could only do a 5k five months ago. 🤷‍♀️

Thank you @joey_keene for being my rock and listening to me complain, thank you @fleetfeetcincy and @otffortwright for getting me in the best shape of my life, and thank you @clubbbs and @raynbow___ for being the best running buddies.

I ran the Queen Bee 4 Miler today and I beat my goal time by, like, a million minutes. (Jk- but as someone who doesn’t have any run times to compare to, I beat what I felt I’d do.)

Happy Valentine’s Day! Here is the goofy softy who changes my life every day. 🥰 He is my one in a billion, the reason I’m laughing 99% of the time, the man I had to demand he stop calling me beautiful because he did it too much.
