🗓️ Saturday, October 17th, is a full day!
🎨 Join MACAS at Phoenix Park on Water Ave to help paint murals for each of Selma’s 8 wards (9am-5pm).
☕️ Enjoy brunch at Reflections Coffee Shoppe on Water Ave (10-noon).
🎶 Return to Phoenix Park to keep painting and to enjoy a jazz concert at 6:30 pm.

🌟 Thank you, Main Street Alabama, for the quick grant funding.
🌟 It allowed a great local team to brighten up the key intersection of Water Ave and Broad St. They were able to
✔️ powerwash sidewalks
✔️ weed beds
✔️ spray to prevent weeds
✔️ add two large planted pots
✔️ trim the crepe myrtle trees
🌟 Selma Main Street is just getting started.

🌟 It was a privilege to be invited to the Adult Education Commencement Ceremony at Wallace Community College Selma.
🌟 The photographs don’t do justice to how many graduates there were (more than 30) and the large audience celebrating them.
🌟 The speakers all emphasized this graduation is just the beginning. In fact, the main speaker had started at WCCS getting her GED and now has her doctorate.
🌟 The Adult Education Program offers preparation for the GED test, high school diploma, WorkKeys, and Northstar Digital Literacy tests. For more information, call 334-876-9369.

🌟 Selma Main Street was honored to participate in Main Street Alabama’s Awards of Excellence in Enterprise last week.
🌟 Selma Main Street received the framed proclamation by Governor Ivey, declaring Selma to be a Main Street Designated Community.
🌟 Main Street Heroes and successful revitalization projects were also recognized from the 36 Main Street communities.
