Sky Heart by Ally Aldridge

A broken heart is just the start of Kiely’s problems.

Keily’s boyfriend breaks up with her at Christmas and she’ll do anything to get him back, starting with a kissing dare. Her new wild lifestyle lands her in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Now she’s battling to stay alive, as she’s drawn into an ancient shifter war with werewolves and reapers. Bad choices and lies puts those she loves in danger. Can she master her new powers in time to save them, or will she condemn them all to darkness?

Getting over her ex is nothing compared to the battle that awaits her.

A dark tale of heartbreak, reapers and shifters, and learning to love again.

Tonight, I finished editing Sky Heart. I sent all the files over to my Formatter and asked to be booked in. It felt like the perfect excuse to show off the beautiful pages she created for Ocean Heart, book one in the Soul Heart series.

After my books formatted, I will know the final page count. This information is needed by my cover designer so she can create the paperback cover’s spine.

Once that’s done, I will have all the files to upload Sky Heart to the printers and can hit publish. I’m looking forward to setting a release date but daren’t do it until I know everything is ready to go.

Sky Heart Writing Update!

Sky Heart is on hold. 😭

My second editor, has had a personal matter that has meant she can no longer work on this project. She’s an amazing editor so it was gutting to hear. However it can’t be helped and I hope things improve for her. 🙏

I’ve held off sharing this update as I wanted to wait until I had something positive to add. But, I’m pleased to share I’ve found a new editor. She should be able to start work on this project from July🤞, which is not that long away.

Sorry for another delay, I will continue to keep you informed of its progress, and it is moving in the right direction.

We said goodbye to our Evie this week. She has been the most amazing family cat, giving us 19 years of her adorable antics. Rest in peace my little fur baby. 😢 by @redfae

Got my haircut. I’m always a bit anxious about getting it cut but really love how it turned out. Made me feel pretty so had to take some pics.

Sorry I’ve not posted much lately. I wanted to do unboxing (or unpacking the gift bags) of my Wonderland purchases, but the kids are off and my youngest is very creative. I feel like I’ve spent most the school holidays tidying up after her.

I’ve barely done any writing.
I’ve taken pics and videos but not posted to socials.
I’ve not done my newsletter or blogged.

On the plus side, I have found time to read and finished Quicksilver, and Battleground, but not written any reviews.

It’s been lovely being busy with my family. I am loving it. And, there’s no time frame for when I have to post, or write, or review. I will get to it, I’m sure. But I’m not rushing.

Hope you are enjoying the summer and making happy memories. 💕

Wonderland 2026!

It has been an amazing weekend. I am exhausted but had a great time.

Thanks to my hubby’s best mate and my mum, it is the first time my hubby has been able to come with me. He was an amazing assistant. He earned his lunch and his exclusive Soul Heart t-shirt. It was just awesome to have him with me. He really was an asset.

My table was shared with author Anna White. She was so much fun, I couldn’t have been luckier. We were kept busy with loads of lovely readers who were up for trying my new game, or wanting their card stamped.

I managed to nip away to collect my preorders and check in on some old friends, ones that were there from the start of my author life.

Which Soul Heart shifter would you be? Come find out @wonderlandbooksigning tomorrow!

I have stickers for each shifter type but once they’re gone, they’re gone. Find me at table 6.

Today’s is my hubby’s birthday. He is having a lay in and popping over to visit family before we hit the road.

I need to pack my personal things (clothes, makeup, ball gown, etc). I’m convinced I’m going to forget something. I might do some repacking to check everything really is in there.

I’m a mixed bag of excited and nervous. I get anxiety before every event, but afterwards I’m so proud of myself for doing it. I don’t think I’m alone feeling like this. This is the first time my hubby has been able to come with me and I want him to have an amazing time, especially as it’s his birthday weekend.

I’ll try to post updates on here, so stay tuned…

You rebels don’t have to read book 1 to start book 2, but if you don’t like spoilers, read Ocean Heart first.

Find me at Wonderland to buy a signed copy of Sky Heart. This book is a bit darker and messier than book one, but you’re still guaranteed an epic battle and a HEA.

Also look out for bundle deals to save money such as:

Sky Heart plus Ocean Heart (read both).
Sky Heart plus a handmade bracelet.

I hope to see you there this Saturday, 25th July.

@wonderlandbooksigning <- The place to be this weekend!
