We had the opportunity to work with @oceansideminorbaseball this past week and create some images the kids could be really proud of. It was a frenetic pace, the lighting changed by the second and lots was learned but in the end, I think we pulled it off. I had a couple of really special assistants on this one, one in particular that would have given just about anything to be wearing a Reds jersey this summer. Despite that, he showed up and worked hard and was such an important part of our success, as a parent I couldn’t be more proud. Not sure what the future holds for this type of work but it’s projects like this that remind you why you picked up a camera to start with. Over the past few seasons of I’ve been bringing a camera along to our golf league nights and grabbing random clips here and there. Its sort of hard to do both golf and shoot so most of the time I wound up distracted from one by the other. I somehow carved out some time in the evenings to assemble some of the footage prior to the league opener in late May. What started as a ‘not too sure if this will take’ experiment has grown into something really cool and the video wound up being pretty fun. #golf by @redfernmedia

I’m fortunate enough to have some photos hanging at The Old School House for the next few months. @tosh.artcentre is such an amazing resource for artists young and old in Qualicum Beach and I’m super grateful and proud to have a collection of work displayed there. The show was hung this past Monday and will be up until July 4th, with an opening celebration on May 29th from 4-6pm. Thanks very much to everyone who has stopped by to see it so far and to everyone who has spent their hard earned money to have one of my pieces in their home. Even though I create social media content all the time, I’m the worst at actually posting the things I shoot. A perfect example; For weeks I’ve been meaning to post a few slides from my recent shoot with Awakened Pilates in French Creek. They were so awesome to work with and their space is warm and welcoming. What else could you ask for?! by @redfernmedia

What a year it was y’all. We hit some highs, we hit some lows, and said a goodbye that somehow still aches daily. It’s not lost on me how incredibly fortunate I am/we are, and yet some days I still wake up feeling way more anxious than I have any right to be. Hopefully that eases a hair in 2026. Through it all @heebs is here being wild…ly hilarious, the boys are here making sure there I golf less than I’d like to and my friends and family show up non stop to support even my craziest of ideas.
