I wannabe a spice girl ✌🏻 by @redheaded.shells

I caught a moment in the mirror today that paused me in my tracks. Ive seen what ive been working towards and what im trying to build but today in this moment it showed up different. It was a moment of “damn, I built that.” And just as fast as that feeling of accomplishment showed up so did Regina (my inner mean girl). She said “you’re too muscular” “you look too manly” “it’s not feminine.” That proud moment slowly drifted away. I let hours pass before circling back to it, because I’m entering into a new era, my #ITGirl era. Fuck Regina, she’s no longer the one in charge. She got to me today but this moment will help me remember I’m more than that, we all are! We are all worthy, all beautiful and I’m on a mission to help build people up, myself included! by @redheaded.shells

PINCH ME!! From trying to breakout into a space I never thought possible to contributing to a photographers creative vision and seeing her win off her entry is truly amazing! At a content day with @@photoeurophiastudios I got to meet the incredible Kristen @kciboudoir who took this photo. She was so kind and great to work with and she made me feel absolutely beautiful. Not only did she win Best in Division but she also won Best in Show!!

I did it, I am officially a certified personal trainer! However, this was harder than I thought. I went into this more so wanting to prove to myself that I could, but along the way self doubt and imposter syndrome were getting the best of me. I felt like I should know more and it should have been easy but it wasn’t. When I felt I wasn’t getting it I procrastinated and put it to the wayside, not sure if I’d come back to it. I had to get an extension for the exam and almost didn’t take it. I took the practice test 12 times and passed only about 3…

It.was.hard.

That said, there are 2 exams, the standard (open book) and the NCAA test (closed everything), I opted for the harder one (NCAA) and I am so glad I finished this! I still don’t know what I want to do with it, but my former unhealthy self is so proud of what I’ve accomplished!

Next up, certified nutrition coach!

Body dysmorphia is something that I didn’t think would affect me but here we are. I’ve come a long way in my journey but because I still want so much more, I rarely give myself time to reflect on all I’ve done. I never dreamed this could be a reality…what else will I achieve? #weightloss #bodypositive #lfg by @redheaded.shells

Photographer asked “do you compete?” Little did she know she gave me one of the best compliments I’ve ever received! #bodyscaping #photography #model

Two versions of me showed up to full workouts today after 2 weeks “off” for my vein procedure.
Logical me: I should ease into this and start light
Stubborn me: pick up where you left off, it’s fine!
While a few lessons were learned here today, stubborn me showed up first. But once I felt discomfort I actually listened to my body and pulled back. That in and of itself is a big win for me. Normally I tell myself to “push past it” but today is listened. It’s the little things like this I’m trying to recognize. #betterlatethennever #stilllearning #keeppushing by @redheaded.shells
