A late summer night spent with the Milky Way and Mt. Rainier. Summer is ending, and hopefully, so are the mosquitoes. 🫠🦟

Waiting for both the sun and the moon to set….

In the meantime, explored the ovens and captured a star trail while I waited for the sky to get dark enough to capture the milky way.

Excellent conditions and great night shooting with @jaredtamezphotography

A reminder that the best views don’t always happen during the day.

The sunset was beautiful, but watching the Milky Way rise across the night sky was worth waiting for.

Orbiting back to these shots of the C/2023 A3 comet over Sedona.

I stayed at a campground that, according to one Google review, is allegedly run by a cult? Naturally, I spiraled into a rabbit hole of local lore. But hey—the bathrooms were clean and the showers were hot, so I’m giving Cult Camp 6 out of 5 stars. taken in Space by @redheadinspace

We are very much enjoying life on the road. Maybe I’ll go through my Astro backlog eventually.

11. Pretty neat tree.
12. Couldn’t resist the millennial urge to throw a peace sign in one of the few photos I took of myself.
13. A storm is a brewing.
14. Woke up next to a geyser.
