Folks, the Red H Farm winter CSA is on! Check out the link in my bio for all the details and registration link (it will be a bit different this year with the pending Super El Niño). It will be small, limited to 20 people, so if you want in, register ASAP. Also, there is an optional November boxes add-on in just two weeks so if you want in on that, get to it! Reach out with any questions. 📸 @goodrockwoman by @redhfarm
I am so honored and grateful to be a co-creator of @womenleadersinfood since its inception a decade ago. This stunning collection of portraits by @paigegreenphoto of the incredible humans who have been deep in this work together created a powerful presence which surrounded the 100 people who gathered for our 10th anniversary symposium on September 20. It was a joy to be photographed and to find new words to synthesize what I do and why, and heartwarming to walk the room during our world cafe conversations while everyone reflected and shared their answers to the guiding question for this collaborative photo project and our gathering: What is the work you do and what is the WHY that drives you? Here’s to each of us continuing on our path to live out our WHY in powerful and potent ways, and co-creating the future we collectively envision. by @redhfarm
One thing that makes it different hosting the symposium in September are the flowers! It dawned on us a couple@weeks ago that we have tons of flowers at @redhfarm that we can harvest! As well as some that have been offered by other farms!! They’ll serve to bring joy and beauty to the morning and then we’ll hand them over to @fullbloomflowerfarm to add even more to her head crown workshop! ♥️ by @redhfarm
🙃 We’re just two weeks away and have just about twenty tickets left! Grab a scholarship or register on Eventbrite and join our co-director Caiti from @redhfarm for so much goodness on September 20th! We can’t wait to gather with this community….links in bio for all your registration needs. ☺️ 📷 by @goodrockwoman in a behind the scenes from our photoshoot with @paigegreenphoto (you are NOT going to want to miss this photo exhibit!) Caiti owns and operates Red H Farm, and launched the first Celebrating Women’s Leadership in Food symposium in 2016. She is a farmer, teacher, writer and community organizer. She is currently launching the new Center for Just + Resilient Food Systems at @sonomastateuniversity in @ssu_gep. Keep an eye on @civileats next week for a new essay she penned and come be in community on September 20th! by @redhfarm
We have been so grateful for the wisdom, grace and inspiration that leadership circle member Amythest Faria @goodrockwoman brings to our leadership circle. Amythest came to the very first symposium, and joined our leadership circle last year. She’s an incredible land steward and friend, AND we’re excited to share that she will be leading a workshop diving into Indigenous food as medicine, weaving together native foodways revitalization, seed saving stories, and medicinal native plants. Volume up 📣 amd have a listen to Amythst’s invitation to join our celebration on September 20th. Registration and ticket links in our bio! by @redhfarm
We are going to have so many incredible humans in conversation at our 10th annual symposium this year! We have been partnering and building community with them for years, and are so excited to be pulling them together for such a rich morning on September 20th. We can’t wait for the chance to weave all of their stories together, learn more about their journeys over the last decade, and find ways for even deeper connection. One incredible person we’re honored to call a friend is Jocelyn Boreta. Jocelyn is a community organizer, herbalist, and granddaughter of an Indigenous farmworker whose work is grounded in healing justice. As Co-Founder and Executive Director of Botanical Bus, she leads a mobile clinic that provides place-based, culturally-centered, collaborative healthcare for Latine and Indigenous immigrant communities. With a background in community organizing, fair trade advocacy, and clinical herbalism, Jocelyn believes that healing is rooted in culture, community, and our relationship with the earth. Come join in conversation with her. Registration and scholarship links in our bio! by @redhfarm

Thank you so much for hosting us! We are so grateful to have learned from farmers Mai, Aubrie, and Caiti! We learned about Managed Grazing practices for soil health, native species recovery, and carbon sequestration. Then we enjoyed delicious cheese made from Aubrie’s herd, and bread made by Sonoma Mountain Breads with Farmer Mai’s flour. We explored Aubrie’s apothecary garden and visited Farmer Mai’s grain field and mill all located at Green Valley Farm and Mill. We were all so inspired to hear about Farmer Mai’s grain growing initiative for healthier, more nutritious, and equitable wheat. 🌾 @redhfarm @brambletailhomestead @farmermainguyen @gvfam @ssu.asap @sonomamountainbreads by @redhfarm
We are always so grateful to bring community together in the Agroecology garden @sonomastateuniversity 🌱 On Wednesdays, we join the students from the Agroecology in Practice class taught by Professor Caiti Hachmyer of @redhfarm to harvest produce for Noah’s Food Pantry! by @redhfarm
We are so grateful to all of our supporters for helping us make the symposium delicious. We get a silly amount of joy and satisfaction out of nourishing this community with all the good stuff. Thank you all for making it happen! We are so honored by the community response this year, and have sold out of tickets to both days of our weekend gathering. We are so glad you all want to be in community as much as we do! by @redhfarm

Tickets to both days have sold out - we are deeply honored by our communities response this year! Registrants stay tuned, an email is coming your way with all the details soon! by @redhfarm
We have been in community with Amythest Faria for nearly ten years. We’re so honored that this year she joined our leadership circle and is helping guide our work. And, folks will have the opportunity to learn from and connect with her at the symposium in just a couple weeks, on November 16th! She’ll be sharing alongside our other amazing speakers during the opening fishbowl! You don’t want to miss it - grab a ticket at the link in our bio (sliding scale pricing, $0-$75)! Amythest Faria is a regenerative farmer, herbalist, educator, mother, and grandmother. Raised off-grid in Sonoma County on the ancestral lands of the Kashia Pomo and the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria, she developed a deep connection to the land and its wild edible and medicinal plants. As the Farm Manager at The Cultural Conservancy, Amythest leads the Heron Shadow project, focusing on open-pollinated heirloom and traditional Indigenous foods, seed saving, and land restoration to improve health, food, and culturally relevant access for underserved Indigenous communities. Previously, she worked as a Tribal Farmer for The Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria, growing food for Tribal citizens. A certified permaculture designer with 30 years of experience in Environmental Science, Organic Agriculture, and Ethnobotany, she has worked with organizations like Ya-Ka Ama and the Northern California Indian Development Council on land restoration and community gardening. Amythest emphasizes youth and adult education, using traditional land practices to promote healthy lifestyles. She has developed curricula for regenerative agricultural programs and workshops on various topics, continuing to advance this work with TCC. by @redhfarm
