This is who the Romans called on during the second Punic War to ensure their politico-military victory over control of territory.They didn't call any of their own deities. Not even the male ones. They called Cybele, also know as Magna Mater, from Phyrgia (in what is now Turkey). They didn't call their male thunder God of war to defeat the Carthaginians. They called a foreign, fat, fertile, earthy, heavy breasted, ecstatic Goddess for war...Their survival depended on it. by @redholywaters

I put a whole lot of love into Mount-ains and Rivers. It glows. Another artist told me that they enjoy nude art, but they especially enjoy this piece because I'm in the act of pleasure. In the original photo, the lace is actually a pink feather boa. I took this selfie maybe a year before I started burlesque. I can't wait to engage with my work more in this way. The artist next to me is the work of Maya Shaulsky. Their work is precious. 🌹Now on display at @zeitgeist_durhamin partnership with @beconnecteddurham and led by @gemynii*I do not approve of AI, and definitely not for the arts. This was completed 100% by my hands, with some pencils and intense focus.*#selfportrait by @redholywaters
