🇬🇧Symbolically, today, on Ukrainian Independence Day, I presented my art project at the Kultursommer Görwihl 2024 festival.
My work is dedicated to all those who left their homes (willingly or unwillingly) in search of a better life. Once again, it is a reminder to Europeans that the war is very close, and that it cannot be stopped without their help.
She told us what the essence of her work is and what unites it with the camouflage nets we weave in Karlsruhe at Ukrainians in Karlsruhe. The work reminds of Ukrainian #vytynanka art, but I used textile instead.

The festival will last for another week!

Kultursommer Görwihl 2024.

🇬🇧I want to remember this moment! Ukrainian art studio is opened in Karlsruhe! Here one can learn Pysanka Petrykivka, Samchykivka, Vytynanka, Vybiyka and other traditional crafts. There are more events in planning to boost your creativity! It's a place where one can learn and share support!

Yesterday I had an opportunity to enjoy the palace grounds in Schwetzingen as I was heading for the Finissage in the Orangerie.
What a great day for a visit! Thank you everybody who came to support me!

My four pieces on this year's exhibition of art USKA all rotate about the topics of identity and motherland.
The first piece,
Roots (Wurzeln), 2025
Cut on Spannbond,
320 x 120 cm
tell the story of the lost motherland, which is impossible to take with you when living. Gaining a new identity sometimes means uprooting the old one.

Flucht (Flight), 2024
Cut on Spannbond
150 x 980 cm
Is about fleeing, refuge and transformation.

Stille Nacht (Silent Night), 2025
Cardboard und Sport whistles
400 x 40 cm
refers to the popular Christmas carol, known internationally, but also a newly acquired Ukrainian habit of keeping the whistle nearby at night in case if the building collapses under the missile strike. Therefore the phrase and a whistle become a new identity.

Postcards from Ukraine, 2025
Oil on canvas,
9 pictures, each 10x15 cm
A set of typical rural houses in Eastern Ukraine demonstrate architectural traits typical for the region's identity and very dear to those who live there.

The pieces can be seen in Karlsruhe-Durlach, Amthausstr 17 daily from 17 to 19 o'clock untill Sunday, 21.21.2025

I love helping with charity events and enjoy creating public art which allows people to interact with it. This pair of wings are going to become a decoration for upcoming charity festival by @ukrainer_karlsruhe on July 4th.

I decided to push my limits a little bit further this year and try to recreate a totally different medium on an egg. This is how my Barn Swallows painting became an Easter egg!

So happy I can do pysanky eggs every year. It is a very calming and meditative activity. The time passes by almost unnoticed...

I told you that the Spring 🌱 will come,
The evil dies, the good will blossom 🌸

For the beginning of the spring I have made these oversized Pysanky - one in the Hutsul style, the second design one is my own creation.

Let's take a moment to breathe in the fresh air!
