The Beautiful Game.
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Regardless of the outcome, one thing will always remain the same. Klopp’s Reds will go down as one of the greatest sides of the modern Premier League era. And when you look back even further, Brendan Rodgers’ 13/14 side was another Liverpool team that came painfully close to greatness. Alongside the rest of the league, we’ve genuinely been caught in the shadow of decisions and controversies that denied these historic sides the chance to achieve even more.

Had City not operated outside the rules for so many years, who knows what these Liverpool sides could have gone on to achieve. The whole league and every team affected deserved justice, and despite everything, we still walked away with two league titles under Klopp without having to compromise our principles. From 13/14 to Klopp’s Reds, there’s always been a feeling that Liverpool could have had even more. That would always mean something. by @redlfc_

That’s so much better. Away at Portman Road and we put in an incredible performance to get our first win of the season, and Andoni Iraola’s first as well. Right now, we’re looking very lucky to have kept Gakpo because what a performance from him. Isak looks sharper too, and that’s exactly what we need from him. A much better performance overall and a clear improvement from our first two matches.

We look so much better defensively when Araujo plays, so moving forward, I guess we’ve got that part sorted. A big step forward from the opening games and hopefully the start to something better. Great win. by @redlfc_

A Shooter in Merseyside.

After a long and uncertain wait, Bradley Barcola is finally Anfield bound. The deal took its time, with moments where it felt like we might never see him in red, but the story has finally found its ending.

The price tag always brings it’s own conversation, but the player speaks for himself. A two time European champion with the quality, experience and profile Barcola brings is simply impossible to overlook. A player for the biggest stages, now stepping into a new chapter under the lights at Anfield.

Finally here. Welcome, Barcola. by @redlfc_

Another draw. A frustrating game, but goals from Isak and Víctor Muñoz gave us something to take away. A brilliant turn followed by an excellent finish from Víctor for his first Liverpool goal. We struggled to create any real threat for large parts of the game, with the first half especially showing just how flat we were. We had a strong finish to the second half, but overall, nowhere near the level we should be at.

Not good enough. by @redlfc_

First match of the season, It’s a point on the road and given how poor our performance was, we were incredibly lucky to come away with something today. It really doesn’t get much more obvious how badly we need more signings, so we need to get a move on.

We were far too vulnerable on the counter, constantly getting caught out whenever they broke forward. The midfield was pretty much non-existent as well, and we struggled to control the game for most of it. Plenty to improve on.

Overall, a very poor and disappointing performance, but we move. by @redlfc_

Back to Premier League action soon after an eventful pre-season, and honestly, I’m glad it’s over. Took a few L’s along the way, but overall, I’d say it wasn’t too bad. We looked sharp, played with much more energy, and there were some really promising individual performances.

Pre-season gave us a glimpse of what this team can be but there’s still plenty to improve on. Looking forward to the season ahead. by @redlfc_

I can’t lie, I’ve got mixed emotions about this one, but we’ve been needing a centre-back for a while, so that’s one off the list. This definitely came as a huge surprise to all of us, but if there’s one thing about Ronald, it’s that he’s a winner. playing alongside Virgil means any attack will have to deal with that physicality at the back.

i’ve seen that most Barça fans are happy he’s been moved on, but I can only hope he proves them wrong. This will be a completely different experience for him, and honestly, that could maybe be a good thing.

Welcome to Liverpool, Ronald. by @redlfc_

Kicking off our pre-season tour in the USA with a win. the first of many, hopefully, under Andoni Iraola. I said before that I was excited to see the academy lads ball out, and Morrison and Koumas both got themselves on the scoresheet.

Pre-season results don’t really matter, but it’s just great to see the lads back out there doing their thing. We’ll also have more of the first-team boys returning over the coming week, so there’s plenty to look forward to. by @redlfc_

Chicago Bound.

Arriving for the upcoming pre-season fixtures, a great mixture of our First team along a few academy ballers Iraola have brought along, That’s an opportunity to see the young lads shine and I’m sure we will see a few prevail over the fixtures ahead. Starting with Sunderland. by @redlfc_

Here to stay. Dominik Szoboszlai has signed a new long-term contract, reaffirming his commitment to the Reds. It’s been a quiet summer so far but this extension speaks volumes. Ladies and gentlemen, we’re looking at the future captain of this club, so strap yourselves in because we’re about to witness many more years of Dominik Szoboszlai’s brilliance. by @redlfc_

Officially announced — Jeremy Jacquet is officially a Liverpool player. The 20-year-old centre-back arrives from Ligue 1 side Rennes, and this is one I’m seriously excited about. I can’t wait to see him lining up alongside Virgil van Dijk, learning from one of the very best in the game.

He picked up an injury towards the end of last season, spending a lot of time on sidelines but there’s no doubting the talent or the potential. Jeremy has a massive future ahead of him, and I genuinely believe he’ll grow into a top defender and become a huge part of Liverpool’s back line for years to come.

Welcome, Jeremy. by @redlfc_

Successful group stage — now the real business begins. This is where everything gets serious, and we find out who really wants it the most. Could one of the lads go all the way and lift the World Cup? We shall see. all the best lads. by @redlfc_
