BALKAN HARDCORE

Featuring 6 records released by Balkan hardcore bands, this time featuring 6 bands from: Bulgaria, Greece and Romania. You can check all of these bands out on Bandcamp or Spotify.

1) “…OF FLESH AND STEEL”
by @truexfeeling

Released in 2024 by Sofia hardcore band TRUExFEELING, this record features 10 tracks of brutal straight edge metal. My personal favorites are “Bleed As We Reign” and “Vermin”. The band also released a 4-song split with @chokexstraightedge in 2024.

2) “NEW STEEL”
by @grinder_band

A metallic hardcore record by Constanta hardcore band Grinder, released in 2024 - the record has 5 ripping tracks, the stand-out track for me being “Bar Fight”.

3) “THE DEFRAGMENTATION BEGINS…”
by @malignantmhc

Released in 2023 by Athens hardcore band Malignant, this is one of the hardest metallic hardcore records in the region. With 3 heavy tracks featuring Contention and No Half Measures, this record immediately placed itself on the top. Inspired by H8000 and the general heavy death metal inspired sound of 90s hardcore, it is a record about inner revolt against our decaying society and the collective liberation of both humans and animals.

4) “UPON YOU”
by @redoundsfbd

In my opinion the hardest beatdown record of all time in the Balkans, released in 2009 by Sofia band Redound. 11 tracks featuring Chikata from Last Hope, as well as Rijia from an older Sofia hardcore band called Overdrawn, this is the essential Balkan beatdown sound with stand-out tracks such as “100 Demons” and the hip-hop inspired song “Motive”. Check this record out on Bandcamp, it really speaks for itself.

5) “SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT SPLIT”
by Heel Turn and @crookmentalityhc

Sofia hardcore bands Crook Mentality and Heel Turn released this split together in 2025 - 4 tracks of groovy metalcore/deathcore by Heel Turn inspired hybhahds such as Recoj and Years Spent Cold, while Crook Mentality delivers 4 tracks of old-school beatdown inspired by OGs such as Swear To God and One Second Thought. by @redoundsfbd

We’re back home from #flexfiesta2026 🥷

What an absolute blast - end to end, one of the best shows we’ve had the honour of being a part of. Excellent organisation and unmatched hospitality by the @prgbd_collective @nfnc_beatdown crew and everyone involved 🫡
Super fun venue / location too.
Had the opportunity to catch up with lots of great bands and ppl we’ve played with in the past. Big shoutout to @defilement_542 @recountofficial @6weapons @bun_dem_out_lbu (we just played another show together in Sofia a couple of weeks back), our forever homeboys from @aakhardwear, all friends from Bulgaria who made the trip to see the show and support our set - you are the MVPs ⚒️

Last but absolutely not least - thank you to all people and bands we met for the first time and said “hello”, we appreciate you all.

Make sure to get your tickets for 2027, those are already on sale and there is serious heat on that poster, including our close friends from @gunpvssy ⚒️

We have a billion photos from the last few days but we will need sone time to sort through them - stay tuned.
The band is fully switching to finishing the new material for the next album.
2026 - ВСЕ ОЩЕ СМЕ ТУК 🥷
