💌Have you ever picked a book knowing hardly about the book, plot and stuffs but knowing you're gonna love the book to the core and the book's gonna be in your heart's deep corner for a long time. For me, it was The Predator. I didn't have initial plans to read it until last year a book review hit me. I was so stucked that made me download the pdf copy to have a glance. And the more I tried to know about it, I kept realising I'm gonna love it soooo much. Life didn't allow me to devour the book back then. I waited and then finally got the physical book to feel every words, scenes and literally everything closely while holding it close to my lap. Life hit recently and I needed something to inject to my veins to heal. A random night, I picked this book from my shelf telling myself, "I need this." Pushed life aside to explore the first book of Darkverse and God, I'm so hooked. Morana Vitalio, a woman in STEM, especially tech who works with codes and numbers, gosh, my type and definitely she is my wonder woman. And Tristan Caine? A man who was meant for the introverted girls. I love a man with blue eyes and who's a voice that sounds like whiskey and sin. They're my comfort characters. I relate to the characters of this book so deeply. Amara and Dante have my heart already. The book mainly explores a wholesome story between a dark mafia family son, the most feared man in their territory and their rival mafia family's brilliant daughter. By the family relations, they're already enemies. But when these two met, the tension, unknown, secrets start folding and unfolding. Though it's just the first book of the saga, it played a beautiful role in introducing the book series. The book feels so special to me<3. One of the most beautiful dark romance book. And I know I'm gonna love the rest of the books as well. Author's poetic writing tone took it to another level.
I love how the book kept one thing so specific and constant for Morana & Tristan, it was rain. I used to wait for rain and a ☁ weather to read it. From now on, rain will remind me of these two beautiful people.🖤🫧, XO

Not a typical book related post. But it's a book related post, anyway. Music is one of the most significant part of my personal life. No matter what I'm doing or up to, I'll need something to listen to. Now how I ended up posting something very unusual from my usual posting stuffs. Okay, so, I never had to make playlist for any specific book. But this one made me do that. Like I could tell while reading, this scene and that one song/ lyrics... Or I'm on a reading break and listening something, just to ponder over saying that this lyrics is giving that one part where this one thing was quoted. Even the language barrier broke for the accuracy🍂...

Someday I might move on from this playlist, someday I might end up with different feelings toward this. But I wanted to keep it somewhere safe. So I'm just posting here, near my Alchemised book post.

It was one of those 𓏲ּ𝄢 once in a lifetime experience 𓏲ּ𝄢...one of the most tragically haunting, heartbreaking, somber, melancholic yet most beautiful piece of literature 🕸️๋࣭ ⭑The whole thing was like a complete circle, clicking close where it all began. It ends where it began. This book had an immense power over me and my emotions and my life, after-all, I did this to myself. Just like I mentioned, it's like an experience but the aftermath and lessons and the incidents are never to leave you. At this point, I believe it will haunt me forever. So many emotions lurked altogether that made me overwhelmed to choose what to feel at all. Alchemised doesn’t fall into one single genre. It explores multi genres following different pathways. War, gore, dirty politics, blood, toxicity, religious extremism, deep patriarchy, misogyny, challenges as immigrants, and what not. This world building was smooth, not to mention the pre reading preparation I had to undergo to understand was another something. It had me literally studying for a book. It's one of those books that I don't want to rate. It's on its own. Usually I see books with war drawn as a background event. But it crossed that barrier. Everything happened facing the war. Not all stories experience blessed win, some gets to face the pitch black severity that draws darkness with no limits. Where it's harder to see the other side of the battling field. Was there any hope? Yes. But the unimaginable nightmare broke them by stabbing in the back. It got insufferable at some points that I wanted to tear off the pages just to get the charecters some time to breathe. It was not a war of good and evil that one will choose one and get away. Some small and painfully intense decisions had to be taken time to time to drive further. From the first page, I was drawn to it. And I didn’t feel for once that it was a long read. 1014 pages ended way too quickly for me. I couldn’t put it down regardless of how much it was affecting me. When I was in my class staring at the board, all I could see was the scenarios I read before leaving. I didn’t know what sleep was. I was there with them.

First of all, take note that it's a DARK dark romance book with remarkable ⚠️TW⚠️ that you might want to check. And for readers who don't have any triggers and want something psychotically delicious, this baby is perfect.
The first thing that caught my attention was the book cover. Like it's so unique with a title that can easily pull *good girls* in. I was pulled the same way. And this one charmed me in a way I couldn’t keep it in my tbr for long. And picking it up as my first read of the year was probably the first good decision I made this year LOL.
From the very beginning of the book, that man named Zane warned that it would be dark. There's exact quote from him, "Find yourself a boyfriend, someone who’ll treat you right and
respect your space. Because I won’t just bend your morals, I’ll
fcking break them." Guess who didn’t listen, ofc me and Faith. Zane is psychotically obsessive and obsessed, manipulative, morally black character but he's so addictive. You'll have to sit with pen and paper to note down what he cannot do. You can't spell insane without Zane. And the part that got me down for him, his photographic memory. Damn. He's the kind of man that can do ANYTHING for the person he loves. At some point, I had to stop reading and think everything. This freaking book reshaped me in every insane way possible. And I can tell for now that I won't stop talking about this man. Because this man has carved his way to me, my mind, my heart. Then comes Faith. Okay, I didn’t expect anything from her. BUT how the freak I ended up relating to her in all possible ways. Like she's stubborn, strong, kind and ofc GOOD GIRL. Whatever she was, she's such a sweetheart and I love her. After-all, handling a man like Zane ain't job for the weak people. This book is spicy, dark, twisted, bloody and kept me on the edges all the time. These types of books can't break me but CV just changed that. Did it finish me? Not that but it took a good piece of my heart with it and I carry zero regrets. They became my ROMAN EMPIRE. 🖤It was such a good read. A dark mafia romance placed in Russia with a good time in Italy. When the pakhan of the Bratva falls, a threat rise for the remaining Bratva. There borns a queen, people call her the Merciless Queen. As a sucker badass fmcs, I ate it up ofc. Life as a pakhan was going all right, until a man from the enemy breaks into her life without any warning which change the course of the whole story. Having some incredible tropes, it cooked well. I was so hooked the whole time. Since they both were radiating the same hyper energy, it was so good to go. The switch. Gosh. It was really worth reading. After finishing a top tier dark romance series, I was kinda lost wondering what's next. With this one, I think I got some taste of reading again.

for giving the opportunity to read your book, it's not just getting a book but also trust from a new author. Even though I'm kinda late to submit the review:)

🖤I didn’t think much before signing up for this one. I just did. And after reading this, I can say I'm glad that I did. Honestly it was such a fine read. After keeping it in my tbr for almost a month, picked it up and DAMN, I was pretty hooked. This book explored secrets, tension, hatred, confusion, typical family drama, latina culture, denials, parents issues and much more. I devoured it one go <excluding sleep ofc>...As a sucker for fierce, strong, badass, resilient fmcs, I surely ate it up. A taste of *enemies to lovers* with *slow burn*...ufff🤌...And slow burn here really burnt. The push and pull and tension. When the string of slow burn broke, there was no going back, damn, it was steamy but no regrets. And the plot hit well. The truths, the twists, the unfolding, remarkable. As a debut baby, it did a good job. I really enjoyed it.🖤

I think I'd never stop talking, posting, sharing stuffs about then. Not now, not ever. I spent a good amount of time reading this series and now it's hard to say that it ended. Looking around seeing the mess I've created while reading DV is insane. Plus, I spent a good amount of money for the annotating stuffs and damn, I'm satisfied with no regrets🥹...It's just these stuffs will always give me nostalgia... As this colour for him, that one for her...LOVE THEM...love what I explored...learnt...and I'll always go back for rereading (I'm not a rereader)...I'll keep the stuffs back in place. Sending the books back to the shelf. Ahhhh🖤

🖤And about people saying, Dainn was Ru's fav DV man, it was entirely wrong, the book's plot was this, he's the prince, and only he was the one who was supposed to kill that bloody asshole...and him taking down the syndicate and taking its power DOESN'T reduce the value of others, at the end of the day, Tristan will be that most powerful, lethal and The Predator, Dante, The king, Alpha, The Finisher as always...they all were differently but equally powerful and they're still together right? They're also with Dainn working in that syndicate new one i mean....
🖤Tristan and Dainn's confrontation, damn Tristan's hella pissed 🙂‍↕️...that conversation of them felt like a conversation where two stubborn kids in their childhood, fighting and augueing in their childish and stubborn way and glad that it was just it🙂...
🖤And about the threats, they are very much, 'we don't kill our family' people, so 👍
🖤Tristan is Tristan and Dainn is Dainn and though seems so similar, yet so different and I badly need more moments of them, damn😭😭😭
🖤And Tristan will always be the first and foremost man of DARKVERSE
🖤I'd always cherish the memory of reading about them at the dead of night where the real world was sleeping and my DV world was evolving.
