Our Pigeons are getting very confident!

This is Claudio

This morning he actually came into the workshop and walked into the kiln room!
They already often come into our kitchen to snoop but this is the first time any have come into the studio.

Mixing up white slip to be sieved, slow work made faster with the aid of a drill and the wheel head. I find it slightly mesmerising watching it smooth out as it mixes. Again and again the similarities between cooking and potting present themselves although I’ve never yet whipped cream with a drill or in a 25litre bucket!

Thank you to Tara King and @countryhomesmag for inviting me to feature in Mays edition of the magazine!

When you are making alone in your little garden workshop 90% of the time (although not actually as most of my time I am with my children so what I mean is 90% of my work time!) it always feels like a terrific surprise when lovely people like this get in touch!

So thrilled to have work included in Junes edition of WOI!

The World of Interiors was the magazine we grew up with. My mother has copies dating back to the 1980’s stacked around her beautiful home. It was the only magazine we were never allowed to chop up for art projects and was treated with Reverence.

Thankyou Ruth Sleightholme and @theworldofinteriors for including my work in Junes beautifully presented shortlist;Pretty as a Pitcher.
