Every entrepreneur has a story behind them.

Mine has lessons, setbacks, and moments where everything depended on one decision.

Learning from Joe Foster gave me invaluable insights on two things that never get easier — managing uncertainty and taking a company international. What he built with Reebok from scratch is one of the great entrepreneurial stories of our time. And reading his thinking up close changed how I see both.

The @wildpooluk ‘s went out on their first big adventure this weekend on The #morecambebaywalk Perfect for beaches & wet walks! Had the best day with 2 of our besties Natalie & David. Supporting @bendriggtrust from Kendal.

Some swims are about distance. This one was about community.

Sami and the Wildpoolers just completed a 71-mile ultramarathon swim around the Isle of Wight for Cure Parkinson’s : 5 swimmers, 3 boats, 4 pilots, 3 navigators, 2 kayakers, and a support crew all pulling together for something bigger than swimming.

At the heart of it: John Caulcutt. The glue of the whole operation, and the reason this became about community, purpose and friendship as much as the miles.

Huge congratulations to John and the Wildpoolers, and a massive thank you to everyone who made it happen.

£44,000+ raised so far for @cureparkinsons, with more coming in.

Only 7 have ever completed the full swim around the Isle of Wight.

On Tuesday 7th July at 11.30am, depending on conditions, @sami_robertson and the Wildpoolers will set off from Bembridge to attempt this incredible challenge in aid of Cure Parkinson’s. 🌊

PD Champion and skipper, John Caulcutt and the Parky Army make up around 400 people on the Isle of Wight are currently living with Parkinson’s.

That’s why we’re taking this on. To raise money, awareness and support for @cureparkinsons with a fundraising target of £50,000.
