Climbing 832 steps up the Space Needle hits a little differently this year. 🤍
I’m stepping up for Base to Space again, and my team is officially open: Climbing For Those Who Can't. This year's climb is dedicated entirely to the memory of Ron Runyon, who we recently lost to pancreatic cancer.
Ron was an extraordinary person—a loving husband, father, friend, mentor, choir director, and, in his own words, "a damn good musician." When I did my very first Base to Space climb years ago, Ron and his wife, Susan, were my absolute first donors and cheerleaders. Their warmth and early support set the tone for every climb I’ve done since.
Ron received exceptional care at Fred Hutch during his fight, and continuing to support their groundbreaking research in his memory is deeply personal to me.

And just like my precious little baby is two... These last 2 years have flown by but have been filled with so much love and joy and new adventures. Am I ready for a 2 year old?? No. But here we go.
