🇵🇹 👌 It is often the spontaneous trips that create the best memories.

Spent the last few days driving across the Algarve coastline and it was a beauty. Staying in small fishing villages, taking boats out to small islands and tasting every cocktail the locals had to offer 🥴.

👋🎙️ Looking ahead to 2026.

For me, 2025 was a year of change.
And hopefully, 2026 will be the year those changes pay off.

From the outside, it’s looked like a year of adventure — four new countries visited, Ben Nevis finally climbed, coast paths stomped, early mornings, long drives, and views that never get old. The kind of moments that look great on Instagram. You’ve probably seen those already.

But behind the scenes, 2025 has been a year of big, uncomfortable decisions. The kind that keep you awake at night. Leaving secure jobs. Starting new ventures. Pouring whatever money, energy, and belief I could find into a new chapter — without any guarantees it would work.

I left a company I’d been with for over a decade — something people know me best for, something I’d been doing since school. In the blink of an eye, I said goodbye to great friends and colleagues, stepped away from familiarity, and took some financial hits to chase new challenges, invest in things I’ve always wanted, and start something new for myself. And if I’m honest… I’m still figuring out exactly what that looks like.

Instead of the ultra-marathon runner mid-life crisis, I chose a different cliché — and bought a 40-year-old campervan. Less Lycra, more oil leaks.

It’s also been a year of showing up for the people closest to me and reminding myself what actually matters. A year where I finally prioritised life over work. And I wouldn’t want to do any of it without my partner in crime. I’m endlessly grateful to her for choosing to come on these adventures with me — even when the plan ahead isn’t clear… though she’d probably be happy if I became a house husband.

And yes… somewhere along the way, we rescued a fourth cat. The house is loud. Chaotic. Full. And I wouldn’t change it.

2025 was a year of risks.
Here’s hoping 2026 is the year of rewards. by @reecemorrell

📸 🐾 The purrfect models for practise.

@jess_ball91 has rehomed over 200 cats since last year. During that time we have fostered some (plus adopted a few 🫣) and they’ve become the perfect subjects for testing out different cameras and lenses.
