I decided to take a break from competing this season & it’s been the best decision! Abundant blessings with sown in reminders of God’s faithfulness🤎This semester is ending a lot different than expected - but the Lord has been so faithful. Mid semester, every symptom I’ve been experiencing for years started to compile into one & got worse by the day. Walking to class without the help of a friend, or doing any normal daily activity became altered. & still is. The Lord answered my prayers and I got answers - doctors diagnosed me with POTS & explained to me that my life would need to look very different. (at least for now, but I’m too stubborn to accept that) I have felt the love of Christ by the way my friends & family have loved me well, attended countless doctor’s appointments, sat with me on the hard days, and given me hope & encouragement. Community is a blessing & I am so thankful for the family I was given in Arizona and in Kansas. In the midst of my physical weakness, frustration, and even disappointment, I have been pulled closer to the steady, strong, and comforting character of Christ. A God who does the unthinkable & makes things beautiful in His timing - as His children, we live a life to glorify Him & Him alone. What if this is all for something so much greater than what can be seen right now? I have no doubt it is, because that is the God I serve. I hope you know that in the midst of pain & suffering, there is a Savior who promises to walk right alongside you, lighten your load, and lead you to the living water if choose to put your hope & trust in Him. Leaving a big piece of my heart in the desert - but trusting that the Lord is doing a good thing because His character remains unchanging. by @reecesherdan

a steady God. the past few weeks have pushed me more physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually than ever before. but what I’ve seen through it all is that: no matter the place no matter what needs to be accomplished no matter the fear of the unknown no matter the physical pain no matter the confusion of what steps need to be taken no matter the goodbyes & tough decisions to be made I serve a God who is STEADY through it all. a God who is so near. a God who mends my broken heart. a God who brings HOPE. a God who heals. a God who sits with me. a God who comforts. a God who strengthens. a God who redeems. a God who sustains. a God who takes all of my burdens, and lightens my load. when I just sit at His feet, every worry, fear, doubt, and pain fades away because I know that in Christ, every earthly weapon formed against me will not prosper. I know that I am held firmly in the arms of the Father. and I hope that you know this too, because it is life changing. the sacrifice of Jesus dying on the cross, to free us of our sins, give us eternal life, and offer us true freedom, is a gift we are freely given, and not one that should be taken lightly. we serve a GOOD God, who has GOOD plans, even in seasons that feel confusing, and not at all what we had wanted or hoped for. no matter the place, sitting at the feet of Jesus measures up to nothing else. In His presence is where fullness of life is found. and at His feet is where every ounce of darkness bows down, and instead newness of life in Christ is walked in. this is GOOD NEWS - no matter the season you may be facing! by @reecesherdan
