@toddkerns :Todd Kerns & @reed_guitar live at their sold out show at Langdon Firehouse: @langdonfirehouse Bar & Grill last night… One of my most favourite duos that can ignite an imperishable flame all night long with a few good acoustic guitars, a whole lot of talent, and a set of vocal pipes that captivates the crowd from start to finish. There’s an immense appreciation for artists that can achieve such full bodied sound as a complete acoustic set in such a way, and to top it off, the comic improv, playful comedic jousts and banter had the crowd bursting in laughter in between sets.

In Addition, it all took place in one of the best venues around. Patrons that are like family, staff that continuously works their asses off and displays fantastic camaraderie, and management that pioneers the way and sets an example for all.

I haven’t even got through half of my images yet, but I wanted to get some out for everyone and strike while the iron is still hot!

I hope everyone had a great night! What was your favourite part??? Stay tuned… more to come 🎶

Looking through my year so far, and photographing @widemouthmason was definitely a highlight. It's great watching both a band and a crowd have that much fun!

Feeling thankful this morning as @adamnricher and I start our trek back home after 2 weeks of shows with @widemouthmason in western Canada. Sharing music, laughs and long van rides with @shon_vro and @safwan_javed_ was just perfect. Get out there and live your life. Vernon was great last night! Only 2 shows left on this run. It’s been a blast but I’ll be happy to be home with my family for a little while after Vancouver and Abbotsford. Here’s what I’ve been up to the past few days Live Photo: @janice_sto taken in Vernon, British Columbia by @reed_guitar

In my 7 years playing with @widemouthmason I’ve gotten pretty used to this kind of explosive musical expression but I’m still kind of shocked that @shon_vro is not a household name. On vocals and guitar his ability is kinda freakish and worthy of accolades but check this out. Playing lap steel with THREE slides enables him to get all kinds of different voicings but also to comp chords and melody almost like a keyboard or solo in lines like a regular lead guitarist. To the best of my knowledge he is the ONLY one doing this. Please watch, listen and share. But don’t tell him I said any of this @safwan_javed_ and I are worried it will go to his head. Captured last night @bosbarandstage opening for @defaultband #trislide Let me know if you’ve seen anyone else doing this technique taken in Bo's Bar and Stage by @reed_guitar
