This year, I lost my Grandma, my Dad, my career, and most my life savings.
That’s ok- because I got my chosen family, my friends, and my health- so life goes on.
Don’t get me wrong there were days where I was on the struggle-bus,
but I’m still standing. And I’m recharged and ready for the next chapters.
For anyone else who is struggling- this year, in the summer I learned:
“If you want to go FAST- go alone, If you want to go FAR, go together.”

Wow 2024….I moved to L.A. 15 years ago. Aww LaLa Land. Instead of a New Year’s Resolution, you know this year I’m just filled with gratitude- L.A. can be a tough town. The first three years were rough. But once you find your Tribe; your friends become your LA family and then become your genuine family…And in that respect- I must have had an Angel 😇looking after me in the city of Angels. Because I’m a very lucky 🍀 guy. I had @imrichaguiar to encourage me when I went back to school for my Master’s. I had @boetrumbull as a mentor, which allowed me to reach the heights of the hospitality industry. And for all of life’s troubles and car accidents; I had @alanfriel to pick me up when I was literally down. I couldn’t have done it without the love of @brucepflieger my adoptive Dad and his family & @helenalovzherkidz my adoptive Mom her family. It took 39 years, but I finally feel the love. And
No matter what or how hard things get knowing you have people who genuinely love you and want you to succeed not just in life but as a person is a great gift.
So life’s a roller coaster 🎢, but when you got real love in your corner anything is possible and tonight I feel like a pretty lucky guy.

As I begin to start coaching volleyball 🏐 again I’m reminded that we all have a certain amount of time before God calls us home and Caroline Found #carolinefound #livelikeline has been on my mind. So I decided to get it tattooed so I can remind myself to enjoy this life that has taken me 39 years to finally love and appreciate.
To all those that have stuck around through the hard years. Thank you 🙏.

Life is so random. And in your 40’s life is trip- just an endless stream of awful surprises and life changing events.
But as long you got your health and people who love you, although God has answered many prayers and manifestations, Without your family (real or chosen) and friends who love you- life in meaningless.
I lost my Dad in 2024 after essentially not speaking for 25 years. This picture was when we reconnected in Placerville at the Water Tower and had a four hour conversation. I think just for that night we understood each other.
There are 4 people in my life who just lost either their wife, their Dad, their Mom, and another Dad.
I made my mission that this year I was going to help people, even if they had no money to give me in return even if they could do nothing for me and nothing was to come of it other than the good Karma I promised myself that this year I was gonna help as many people as I could, even if I felt like my gift wasn’t much but was from the heart. ❤️ and I feel like God has blessed me in so many ways but also life is so random and sad and life isn’t worth living unless you have a chosen family or a real family and friends that love you.
